Yes, maybe having a child is worse for the environment, but like what Ian said in Jurassic Park, "Life finds a way." You can't expect people to quell natural urges and expect contraception to work or be used correctly everytime.
Hummers are just luxuries.

Plus there's the whole thing about peak oil and climate change. :read:
If you drive a Hummer and are a vegan your effect on climate change is less than driving a Prius and being a carnivore.
You could drive 25 hummers year round and your CO2 would still be less then if you had one child.

Good to know that I never plan to have a Hummer or a child.

I know that. I was merely making a point.

Well, in the military, they may be important, but in everyday life, they're useless toys.

I was trying to make the implication without implicating myself.

That's because (again, referring to H2 and H3) they are junk off-road. The H1 was quite capable.
Weren't those just basically Chevy SUV chassis wrapped in boxy sheet-metal? "Hey, I've got an idea, let's make the Suburban slower and heavier!"

More or less. My dad has a Chevy Colorado pickup, and on the AC unit it has 2 AC pressure specs listed on it for if it's installed in the Colorado, or in the H3. The H1 was an entirely different beast.

The schadenfreude in this thread is palpable.

They had their uses, particularly the original model, which was like a mule which could tow a howitzer.

But never mind that -- they make a fat target. Open fire!
these are things we think we know
these are feelings we might even share
these are thoughts we hide from ourselves
these are secrets we cannot lay bare.

No! :lay: Its a Hummer that is smaller. Its really stupid.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Here is a funny video from a series called Operacion Repo where they repo a Hummer. The "owner" is your typical Hummer owner.
