Good because it was a shit one to start with but if properly nurtured could grow into a proper slut of a Rationalia thread

In fact rails would just make things uncomfortable and probably leave nasty bruises

That image is one of a series of six. The other five are seriously NSFW!

This is considered a bad thing?

How did I miss this?
Fred Kite wrote:I'm new here, but, I just registered to speak on behalf of atheists who are extremely embarrassed to have the term "atheism" associated with the vicious and vindictive comments and incessant whingeing from so called "atheists" upset about Richard Dawkins website,
I shall stop you right there.
The majority of regular posts on the RDF forum were atheists.
Not "atheists."
because I notice that a lot of you are on here. Some of you are even writing press releases to spread the embarrassment even further!
There's nothing to be embarrassed about.
What are you thinking?
That there's nothing to be embarrassed about.
I don't claim to be an expert on the whys and wherefores but one thing is very clear - regardless of the whys and wherefores the online reaction has been exceptionally embarrassing for atheism.
Says you.
I don't find it embarrassing.
Even if Dawkins and his web team did something horribly wrong, the viciousness and rabidness of the reaction is completely unnecessary.
Not at all. It was completely necessary. And if you had bothered to look at our side of the picture, you'd understand that better.
What's upsetting for me and regular atheists
What the fuck?
regular atheists?
An atheist is an atheist is an atheist.
Are you suggesting that those of us from the RDF forum are not "regular"?
is that it's being reported as the 'largest online atheist community'.
85,000 members. Do you know of an atheistic forum that has more?
I have visited Richard Dawkins . net and it was not an atheist community.
I can assure you, it most certainly is.
It was a website for fans of Richard Dawkins to congregate and discuss ideas online. There were theists, atheists, jews, christians and many others on the site and forum.
The majority are atheists. And it was a website for not just fans, but for atheists to come together and share idea's, opinions, work, etc.
Some of you are reacting in the same way a teenage pop fan would react if a singer decided to leave a well known pop band. It's childish.
I find your OP is childish and lacking in facts.
It's petulant and it's hero-worshipping at it's worst
No one is currently worshiping anyone here at the moment. :coffee:
and I can only imagine how embarrassed Richard Dawkins must feel at this moment.
He should be embarrassed about how Josh and Andrew have behaved.
I hope he feels terrible.

I never got the Airfix kit when I had the chance.

Although it was the kit of the Hawk attack craft that I wanted even more. :lay:

Your Airfix model would have looked more realistic than the ones on the TV series.....

Or probably not, given the state of my model-building skills back then.
