good for them.
Hmm. Free of people like Cali, CJ, Spearthrower, Mazille, Virphen, et. al.? The un-tight-lipped ones, I mean. The ones not toeing the party line. Certainly free of crude and ignorant, voluntarily unemployed tossers like me, that's for sure.

Not sure what the fucking point of reading any of it would be without their contributions. I've learned more from their posts in the past couple of years than I did in 8 years at uni. However, if you're happy sitting around the front page having "discussions" that amount to pablum pre-approved by the suppurating rectum, singing the praises of Glorious Leader and playing circle jerk with the sycophants, by all means have at it. It's a free internet, after all.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I'm also unable to believe the horrific abuse that is being directed to Richard Dawkins here. This is the ''dark side'' of Internet fan bases: sure, they can shower praise on you, but they can turn in an instant, with the least provocation. I'm really saddened that apparent fans of Dawkins have directed so many insults towards him.
All of that horrific abuse was directed at Josh Timonen and his forgettable minion, and the vast majority of us continued to support Dr Dawkins, believing that he couldn't possibly know what had happened... UNTIL he posted his own "rebuttal" on the forum in question, supporting Timonen 100% and basically caling all of us a bunch of ignorant, uncouth rabble and good riddance to you.
I still have no desire to direct any abuse at Dr. Dawkins, but I have lost a great deal of respect for him.
For a man who for years has drummed on and on about basing your beliefs on evidence, it was an astonishing failure on his part to take the word of one single source (however well he may have known that source personally) - a source against whom serious accusations (and much abuse) were being made - and therefore, an obviously biased source, without bothering to check out any other sources - indeed, accepting at face value a quote-mine from that biased source as being the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truthTM when he obviously had access to the internet and knew where that quote-mine came from.
All I can think to say is...
Loser!

no way. It's just for the angry mob who arrived over the last few days.

do you want me to make you a cup of tea before you go?
I'm not touching that forum with a ten foot pole now. Go ahead and keep posting it over and over, though, maybe one of the mods will come along and kick you for spamming.
It's not his forum, you know - it's life's and HughMcB's, I think.

He's just trying to poison it by association, I suggest we simply disregard his constant spamming of the link just like we disregard the rest of his fucking drivel.

I better go and read the rules, Must look up how to tell a twat to fuck off.
“I wish no harm to any human being, but I, as one man, am going to exercise my freedom of speech. No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”

John Maclean (Scottish socialist) speech from the Dock 1918.

Aww, c'mon lads, we know someone is trolling, but do we have to be so mean?
Listen, CG, I think you have made your point, but people right now are in no mood to take that onboard in any case, and we are all a little bit shaken and are waiting for things to settle down, so would it be ok for us to ask you to change the record for time being? 'Cause it really is getting repetitious...

Cali, cut out the insults! Nobody is trolling here, can everybody please try to remain civil?
We have no great war, no great depression.
Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.

Please, folks. We are not helping anyone here. Keep it civil, please and stop with the accusations and the flaming. I of all know that emotions are currently rising high, but please accept that we are - for now - no more than guests here.

And how do you feel about the fact that Dawkins has directed insults towards his "apparent fans"?
