I don't think she's saying that gays should be put to death. I think she's trying to "cleverly" sanitize it so it says death is just a natural consequence of being gay. "Trying" transparently, as theists believe everything is of and from god, that 'good' is defined by god, then they believe it a good thing for gays to be put to death, to think otherwise would go against god's will. To them, one would be morally culpable to not want gays killed.
