I've just deleted all my posts and made registered user as my default (so I'm not red) but I can't take myself out of the admin group so I've requested that. I'm just letting people know in case they think someone else deleted my posts. (The last one won't go because you can't be a lurker and an admin I guess!).

We were not telling the regular users what they could and couldn't do, they were all welcome to move to a separate forum. This public posting of personal communication, along with several inappropriate posts made by our very own moderators, convinced the foundation to close the forum down and make it read-only.

If this bull was the case, then why not just remove all of the moderators privileges and reopen the forum for 30 days. Then everyone would be given a fair shot at expressing their views and everyone would be allowed to communicate a relocation rather than the "lucky" few that happened to be on during the 2 hours of it happening. If we are welcome for us proles to move to a separate forum why make it so chuffing difficult.

Exactly. It's not just moderators that have had rationalia avatars and locations and sigs. If he has no problem with people relocating to a separate forum why stop all attempts at it.

It's like saying "your allowed to do it, but we are going to remove all ways for you to do it" You ARE allowed to do it. You just can't.

Because without us lackies to protect them from all of you, they're fucked. That's why they shut down the forum.

Indeed, and it looks like some of his posts have been deleted too. It says he's made 436 posts... unless I'm remembering incorrectly, the last time I saw his profile it said 440 something. So looks like he's getting the short end of the stick, too.

Well give the guy a chance I imagine he has more than he wants on his plate at the moment. He is very unlikely to reply individually, he is much more likely to make a general statement via a post on the forum.
