What has happened over at RDF is utter, utter wankery of the very highest order. It's not just that the change was a bad idea; it's the way it was carried out, and the lack of respect offered to those who had given up their own sodding time to volunteer. The mods are (were?) the best I've seen on any(!) forum on t'Internet; the vast array of information supplied on the Science/Evolution threads taught me more about science than I ever learned in school; and the C-Bomb of a Calilasseia 3-post smackdown was always hugely entertaining.
