Re: Who is still missing?

I sent a message to kiore since he really helped me learn about folding, but he seems to be holding out hope for something good to come out of RDF. I'm not entirely sure if he'll come over, but I'm hopeful.

UPDATE: Kiore is now here!

Lion IRC is here. Only fundy I've noticed, although there's the odd more rational theist around.

I think I saw kiore too.

Doesn't look like Swiatlo's planning to come over. He's working on a (hang on to your antlers) vi-de-o against e-vi-lu-shu-na-rie the-a-rie.

Hi Virphen,

Thanks for acknowledging me as a fundy.

One of the redeeming characteristics of many atheists I chat to is that they, unlike many so-called "real fundy" theists, allow me to call myself a fundy.

I know we might all look the same to you but you would be surprised how often I get told by IRC theists and Christian apologists that I am not a real – creationist, YEC, Christian, fundy, etc.

The whole RDF thing reminds me of the “deep rifts” threads on Pharyngula. It’s JUST politics, brand image, AvT market share, ego, etc.
Not that important in the Grand Scheme of things IHMO. Just another Mafia Game.

PS – Although I did get the impression/vibe/suspicion the last time I saw Mr Dawkins interviewed on TV, that he looked a little bit shaken not stirred. A bit of inner turmoil? Getting old before he’s ready? Moment of truth? I will be interested to see how he stands up to his (post-RDF) audience in Melbourne/March.

Ah an inane post from LionIRC, now I really feel at home.

good to have you here :hugs: (Don't worry it was a christian side hug)

Perhaps someone can invite living easy?

At least over here I can tell him to fuck off if he implies I must have autism if I disagree with some of his nonsense for the fortieth time.

Well I didn't mean it as a compliment, or as an insult, just a statement of fact :td: .

Not surprised to see the Scottish fallacy is alive and well in fundy land though.

Oh, yeah.
One more thing.
Durro.
This fundy is NOT rejoicing at the demise of the RDF.
As you know very well, I was on record in several threads stating that, as a --->insert favorite anti-theist pejorative here<--- I found the place exceptionally valuable and well run. All the Mods I encountered were a credit to the place notwithstanding the occasional thingys you and I had every now and then.
It's about reasonable, respectful dialogue. And I know you support that ideal.
Mr Dawkins will find himself embarrassed that his name is associated with people who DO NOT and who, with or without his knowledge, have done a great disservice to that ideal.

I PMd him about 2 mins after his last activity on the forum, so that's good. He might not be back to see the PM.
