I didn’t find out that anything was up till this morning, when I stumbled over the Admin announcement from Josh.
Over the past several weeks, the Mods were promised consultation and cooperation by Andrew (Chalkers, the tech weenie) and Josh (The “Admin” Dude), and the opportunity to test out a new site and work out the bugs before any transition. We were told that the current forums would be migrated over, but perhaps reorganised with more emphasis on science.
They’ve gone ahead and completely excluded the Mods, presented a fair accompli with a new format, and now we’re locked out of RD.net like everyone else. For 40 mins after the lock, the Mods were still able to post, but now we’re shut out too, probably because we all went berserk and Josh didn’t want to deal with us.
Topsy and Mazille posted the note that the Mods got which in addition to the info you guys got, which also demanded that the Mods shut up, don’t create waves, don’t try to contact Richard Dawkins and tow the party line. These additions were removed by Josh, as well as an entire thread in Tech Support which criticized the impending forum closure in 30 days. Of course, that’s now changed.
I'm fucking pissed off.

First thing I saved onto a text file was Calilassia's list of Carnards in the Debunking Creationism section. It seemed like the thread that was the most helpful in RL argument
