Sunday Sermon - listen and learn

Post by Rum » Sun Feb 07, 2010 8:43 am

Its Sunday and we should take the opportunity to share the word of God on a regular basis on this special day. He's a grand sermon all about how our God is a Republican and probably white, and definitely not a homo.

I think I'll pass on that one, if you don't mind. :levi:

I can't listen to people like that. All confidence and pomp with no substance.
Its funny the way religious people say that us atheists having meetings are just like them going to church but the salient difference is this guy is just allowed to waffle and people respect his "authority" without question, nodding with agreement and yelping every time he says Hallelujah.
I've been to a few atheist meets and its the complete opposite. You'd better be careful what you say and know what you are saying or you will be quickly corrected, although as far as I can see most atheists are happy to be corrected, you certainly won't get away with any historical inaccuracies, factual errors or outright bullshit.

What a truly odious man...
"Whatever it is, it spits and it goes 'WAAARGHHHHHHHH' - that's probably enough to suggest you shouldn't argue with it." Mousy.
