They should at least put the contract out to tender. I'd pray for the police for £9,900.

Hmmm, tell you what, I'll subcontract the praying to India for 500 quid, and I'll throw in 6 whole villages praying all at once.

... Or we can work out a pro rata system based on prayer throughput numbers. I can do you
up to 2.9Kps* per month for £49.99 pcm, but you'll have to sign an 18 month contract. Terms and conditions apply**
*Kilo Prayers This is a maximum. Actual prayer bandwidth may depend upon how many small brown people PWN U. can get for 0.25p a day.
**By accessing this service in any way, shape, or form, directly or
indirectly, you (hereinafter, Sucker) grant "Prayers? Well, No". and his duly
authorized agents (hereinafter, collectively, PWN U) carte blanche, including
but not limited to unrestricted use and abuse of the Suckers's personal information,
personal property, personal anatomy, and increasingly precarious emotional
state.
This agreement may be be altered at any time by PWN U. Quietly changing a
document somewhere on the Internet shall constitute notification. It is
incumbent on the Sucker to locate these changes, seeing as how the Sucker grants
automatic blanket consent to any such changes.
Should any part of this agreement be found illegal, the remaining parts shall
remain in full force. Parts found merely unethical or tasteless may be
doubled in magnitude, solely at the discretion of PWN U."

A Christian policing group which believes that the power of prayer can catch criminals and keep officers safe from harm has been awarded a £10,000 grant from the Home Office to widen its involvement with local church groups.
I hope they have a nice BBQ from that money with the local church groups to encourage interaction. All paid for by the tax payers of course.

So we are paying for the police to be prayed for ...and then paying for the Pope to visit ... If the Police guarded the Pope on their own time and money wouldn't he pray for them and we could all save a load of money ???

Sorry. I know that isn't fair, but I just couldn't help myself.

We'd see how much her attacker's religiousity will count for then.
