A drug that failed tests as an antidepressant is being hailed as "Viagra for women" after surprising but not unpleasant side effects.
In three separate trials, the drug flibanserin did wonders for women's flagging sex drive despite doing nothing to lift mood.

I don't get it.

As for a "date rape" drug. It couldn't exactly be called rape if the woman is well up for it even if it is unknowingly drug induced.
In fact this threads a very fuzzy line in my opinion.
That said, it has the potential to back fire. What if you pop one in her drink and she goes off to the toilet then on the way back sees some hunk of a guy and decides to take him home and fuck him leaving you there

Attraction is subconscious, but there's no reason to think that our subconscious reasons for being attracted to someone are different from what we consciously want. Is having a money a plus? Yes, so more money = more attraction. Is physical health a plus? Yes, so a strong healthy physique is attractive. You can do the same for protectiveness / strength, parenting skills and intelligence. You're a biological machine. The only irrational parts of attraction are the heuristics, where we developed a preference based on correlating traits that no longer correlate.

Not at all. It's just reality-based. Women do stay with men they don't like just to have a roof over their heads. If that roof is a vaulted ceiling in a multi-million dollar mansion, so much the better.
