The Battle at Helms Gate.
Libertarianism: The belief that out of all the terrible things governments can do, helping people is the absolute worst.

When we were VERY little, my dad used to make up stories.
The best by far was the war of the worms, which involved the battle of the butterflies, and attacking ants, and bombardment by bees. They were probably crap, but we never got tired of them, and made him tell us the same story again and again.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

I would add:

Spanish American War - The US kicks European butt.
Mexican War -- The US kicks European descendents' butt
Barbary Pirates War - The US kicks Muslim butt
Quasi War -- The US kicks French butt
Aegean Anti-Piracy Operations -- The US kicks Greek pirate butt
Philippine American War -- The US kicks Philipino butt
Gulf War -- US kicks Saddam Hussein Butt
Afghan War - US kicks Al Qaeta and Taliban butt
Iraq War - US kicks Hussein butt, again.

And, yes, Bella, I know I'm responding to an old post. it was bumped.
