Griffin's quick to point out the things he didn't say, but doesn't mention the things he did.
This guy should be a creationist he's so selective with reality.

Another similarity with the creotards. That BNP manual Straw's talking about sounds like the Wedge Document.

He's saying Islam is evil to women, but that we should leave the Muslim countries alone?
So Griffin doesn't care about women being mistreated as long as they are women somewhere else?

People on RDF are claiming he's getting murdered and proclaiming the end of his career.

We's not even really 'getting murdered', the rest of the panel is fairly weak. What's happening is that he's being given rope and hanging himself with it.Animavore wrote:People on RDF are claiming he's getting murdered and proclaiming the end of his career.

Jack Straws being a bit of a prat here now "putting a cap on population is not possible". What happens when global population reaches crunch point? I think nature will put a cap on our's, and everyone else's populations sooner-or-later. And not in a nice way.

Hmmm... Both Griffin and the Muslim woman neatly dodged expressing their views on homosexuality. (or at least Griffin did until he was called on it)

Somebody or something will take care of our population problem. And I'll be we don't care for that care.Horwood Beer-Master wrote:Jack Straws being a bit of a prat here now "putting a cap on population is not possible". So Griffin seems like he would scrap the BBC if his party took power. That's another reason to hate him.

Griffin came across as a weaseling hypocrite. However, I am sure that, to his supporters, he came across as bullied and standing firm against the odds. What is important though, is what the people that were thinking of becoming his supporters thought - I hope that they saw through the lying, duplicitous, nasty little cunt.

That went better than I expected. Bonnie Greer, especially, was a stronger panellist than I expected her to be, she did a good job out of pulling Griffin's leg about his ahistorical nonsense about indigenous Brits. Griffin's response made him look like a windbag. I think they may lose support after that showing tonight.

Re: The BNP may appear on BBC's Question Time
bloody hell that was superb. thought straw stumbled badly on addressing the "rise of the BNP" and the conservative homophobe pinned him quite well on immigration.
Griffin he was nailed spectacularly by his own inability to disguise his deeply racist sentiments.
It was like a DIY hanging. with the public baying for his blood.
Absolutely superb telly. I nearly spilt my wine when the guy chipped in the new "coventry" comment...i.e. he would have a whip around to send griffin and his supporters to the south pole...a colourless place that would suit him down to the ground.
The only minor thing I would say is that i did catch a ripple of applause for griffin at one point..I can't remember which point exactly, and it was only a minor ripple..but, it was definitely there about 3/4s of the way through.
Afterwards..on Sky news...the "tomorrows papers" was dominated by the "griffin is a rat"..."griffin is a nutter"..."griffin is a disgrace to humanity"....front page headlines on all the tabloids....brilliant! Okay. I know it's all ad hominem...but still. Even his mother in law reckons he needs a good slap!
The panelist who came out tops, for me was the liberal guy. closely followed by bonnie wotsername. I didn't like the homophobic baroness. And jack straw started off well in his attacks on the bnp, but stumbled badly on the immigration question.
All in all Absolutely superb.
All together now....jolly hockeysticks, ra, ra, ra, down with the bnp, ra, ra, ra.

the only thing I would add is that it was so obviously an ambush..you half expected david dimbleby to say "well, here's the guy from the KKK. he's backstage now...bring him on" and everyone would shout "david, david, david"..ala jerry springer.
