Well put it this way, remember how back in the final runoff of the 2002 French presidential election between Jacques Chirac and Jean-Marie Le Pen, people who usually despised Chirac were marching in support of him under the slogan "Vote for a Crook, not a Fascist"?

Well my slogan for the next UK election is "Vote for the incompetent, irritating, inept, small minded, petty, spineless, foolish, aimless, witless, worn-out cretins, not the selfish, greedy, careless, heartless, smug, soulless, snobbish, capitalist, unprincipled, lying, duplicitous, hypocritical, nasty, elitist, media-polished, wrong (not least of all), vile, currently-Murdoch-supported, Bourgeois, Hooray-Henryist, Bullingdonite, Thatcherite, social-vandalising, fucking Etonian cunts"

How dare Cameron make a speech declaring "we're all in this together", when he's planning tax breaks for his social class? What he really means is "you're all is this together, while me and my mates get to lord it over you, untouched by the state of the economy as ever".

And whilst Labour may have turned a blind-eye to the shit going on in The City, bear in mind that the bankers who actually did the fuck-up (and continue to pay themselves big bonuses out of the bail-out money), are by-and-large a bunch of Tory-boys. Also bear in mind that we'd have been less hard-hit by the financial crisis if our whole economy wasn't so tightly tied-up to the casino of the markets (i.e. if we still actually produced anything in this country), and who was it who bound our economy so tightly to the markets? Why Thatcher of course!

And don't kid yourself that the Tories have learnt anything from their 12 years in exile. If over the years they'd reverted to the kind of pre-Thatcherite 'one nation' conservatism (which had at least bought into the post-war consensus), then a vote for them this time around (provided they bugger-off after one term) might not be too unpalatable. But they haven't. This lot in charge of the current Tory party are completely unreformed, unrepentant Thatcherites - they're probably more Thatcherite than Thatcher.
The only thing the Tory party have learnt in exile is how to better manage and manipulate the media, and project a more 'slick' image. But it's all just smoke-and-mirrors! Don't fall for it!!!
