STOP DOING REMAKES ,so many books/graphic novels to do (millions ) ,or get some new films written, buy an original screenplay .

I don't mind remakes specifically. Admittedly, 99.94523% of the time they are shite, but the other 0.05477% are reasonably good.... worth watching at least.

Why are remakes usually so shit? Is it just that good directors and writers tend not to be interested in making remakes (big studios are), or is it something else?

1) We have preconcieved notions and ideas of characterisation and so on.
2) Remakes are usually of BIG SUCCESSFUL pieces of Visionary shit.
3) A lot of Producers and Directors don't know how to really make a film.
