Kimberly Guilfoyle is apparently America’s new fast food ambassador. The Fox News host-turned-U.S. ambassador to Greece (with a stint in between as Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée) turned up at a McDonald’s ribbon-cutting in Athens this week, hailing the chain as a delivery system for “American culture.” “American businesses investing here create jobs and bring American culture—and delicious food—to the Greek people,” Guilfoyle wrote in a post on Threads alongside photos from the event. She also called it “the most technologically advanced McDonald’s in all of Europe.” Photos showed Guilfoyle posing beneath the golden arches with executives before taking part in a glossy photo shoot surrounded by McDonald’s branding. The spectacle quickly drew attention because of President Donald Trump’s legendarily enthusiastic relationship with the fast food giant. Trump has long treated McDonald’s as part of his personal brand, once even serving fast food at the White House during his first term and staging a campaign stunt working the fryer at a Pennsylvania franchise during the 2024 election. Now, as ambassador to Greece, Guilfoyle appears to be redefining American soft power—one burger at a time.

if he's gone over to the orange side, the question is how long they'll let him call himself a democrat... and whether the change of label will let him go on getting elected, last I heard, the penn electorate was dyed in the wool blue.

Fetterman had the unusual working class backing for a Democrat. His sloppy look, one of the guys. Men were able to vote for him, even if they voted Republican at times. His health issues were a surprize and nobody knew his exact politics.

The “Anti-Weaponization Fund” of $1.776 billion is part of a settlement that resolves President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service over the leak of his tax returns. It will allow people who believe they were targeted for prosecution for political purposes, including by the Biden administration Justice Department, to apply for payouts, creating what acting Attorney General Todd Blanche called “a lawful process for victims of lawfare and weaponization to be heard and seek redress.”

“The machinery of government should never be weaponized against any American, and it is this Department’s intention to make right the wrongs that were previously done while ensuring this never happens again,” Blanche said in a statement that made no mention of how investigations and prosecutions of Trump’s political opponents under his watch have exposed the Justice Department to the same claims of politicized law enforcement that he said he opposed."

"Nearly 100 Democrats in the House of Representatives signed onto a legal brief urging a judge to block what they described as an unprecedented resolution that they said would unjustly enrich people close to the president with taxpayer dollars and open the door to meritless claims of political persecution."

Correction: it is not part of the court case. The judge wrote that there is no settlement. This is a separate gift just decided by Todd Blanche

They've unravelled the Voting Rights Act you know. Just like they've bankrupted SCOTUS and made it their creature they're bankrupting the electoral system to work the way they want it to. Just as they've bent the law to their whim because the law would otherwise stand in their way, they won't have to be popular with the electorate because the electorate will stand in their way, eventually - and they know they'll never win again without fixing the game.

Everything else is a distraction really.
