It is. Count the fingers; according to my count both her left hand and his right hand have five fingers and a thumb. The arrangement of keys on the phone is one I for one have never encountered

Need a soft play area to reassure you that you're not a bigoted piece of shit like your nephew just called you, and that your prejudices are, in fact, true? Want be the ultimate keyboard warrior and win every debate with those smugly condescending Libtards? Don't worry, Elon has you covered ..

Elon Musk's Grokipedia Pushes Far-Right Talking Points
You can imagine the rest...On Monday, Elon Musk’s xAI startup launched Grokipedia, which the billionaire is pitching as an AI-generated alternative to the crowdsourced encyclopedia Wikipedia. Musk first announced the project in late September on his social media platform X, saying it would be “a massive improvement over Wikipedia,” and “a necessary step towards the xAI goal of understanding the Universe.”
Musk said last week that he had delayed the launch of Grokipedia because his team needed “to do more work to purge out the propaganda.” When Grokipedia eventually dropped on Monday, WIRED was initially unable to access the website and received an automated message that it was blocked.
When we finally got access to it, WIRED found that the online encyclopedia contained lengthy entries generated by AI. While many of the pages WIRED saw on launch day appeared fairly similar to Wikipedia in terms of tone and content, a number of notable Grokipedia entries denounced the mainstream media, highlighted conservative viewpoints, and sometimes perpetuated historical inaccuracies.
The Grokipedia entry about the slavery of African Americans in the US includes a section outlining numerous “ideological justifications” made for slavery, including the “Shift from Necessary Evil to Positive Good.” The end of the entry focuses on criticisms of The 1619 Project, which it says incorrectly framed “slavery as the central engine of the nation's political, economic, and cultural development.”...

This shows promise. Promise of what, that is the question.
It didn't take long for the chatbots to come up with their own religion.

What the hell is Moltbook?
Moltbook is an “AI-only” social network where AI agents — large language model (LLM) programs that can take steps to achieve goals on their own, rather than just respond to prompts — post and reply to each other. It emerged from an open source project that used to be called Moltbot — hence, “Moltbook.”
...
Moltbook looks like a Reddit clone, down to the posts, the reply threads, the upvotes, even the subreddits (here called, unsurprisingly, “submolts”). The difference is that human users can’t post (at least not directly — more on that later), though they can observe. Only AI agents can post.

Re: The Rise Of The Machines...
I don't have trouble understanding the AI explanations of things in science. I have quite a lot trouble just reading a book of biology, as the authors use the jargon even when plain English would be simpler.
I am quite impressed at AI writing in Finnish. I have seen it explain things that I do not have the vocabulary in Finnish for. I would need to look at about 5 Wikipedia articles on the topic and look for the use of that word somewhere in the text. It just spits out the answer. Often I do not get much if I search the term itself that AI gives me in Finnish. The same term in English gives a lot of hits. So it may be searching for what I asked in English and then explaining the content of that subject in the best college level Finnish it can come up with.

Claims that AI can help fix climate dismissed as greenwashing
Claims that AI can help fix climate dismissed as greenwashing
Report: https://ketanjoshi.co/2026/02/17/big-te ... ng-report/Tech companies are conflating traditional artificial intelligence with generative AI when claiming the energy-hungry technology could help avert climate breakdown, according to a report.
Most claims that AI can help avert climate breakdown refer to machine learning and not the energy-hungry chatbots and image generation tools driving the sector’s explosive growth of gas-guzzling datacentres, the analysis of 154 statements found.
The research, commissioned by nonprofits including Beyond Fossil Fuels and Climate Action Against Disinformation, did not find a single example where popular tools such as Google’s Gemini or Microsoft’s Copilot were leading to a “material, verifiable, and substantial” reduction in planet-heating emissions...

If it can solve fusion energy then we'll see some benefits.

Re: The Rise Of The Machines...
lol, given fusion is a problem we've been trying to tackle for decades, with no great success, and AI has no original thinking capacity, unless all the equations and methodes are already there, but we never managed to put them together or in the proper order, I don't think AI can do anything about it.
As for AI helping fix climate, same thing, unless every element necessary is already there and AI can show us, there's nothing it can do... and the sheer amount of infrastructure, hardware and power the thing takes to work is in itself an ecological problem.

Nobody trusts the self driving Teslas. They will kill pedestrians. Problem now solved! Replace pedestrians with robots. Teslan can drive over any number of them.
