A Rutgers University professor who taught a course on anti-fascism was blocked from leaving the US for Spain on Wednesday night, according to media reports, hours after Donald Trump hosted a White House roundtable highlighting the impact of antifa – or “anti-fascist” – far-left activists.
Bray told the outlet that the family were rebooked for Thursday evening but were in the dark about why the earlier booking had been cancelled. “I may sound conspiratorial, but I don’t think it is a coincidence,” he said. “We’re at a hotel and we’re just going to try again.”
Wired: “We made the decision on Saturday [to leave the US] when our home address became known by people who want to do us harm,” says Bray. The professor informed his students on Sunday that he would be moving to Europe as a result of the threats.

Getting pretty fascisty there. How long do you stay there, Merkins? What if he cancels elections? What's your red line before you emigrate?

WHEN IS TRUMP GOING TO BE OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED AS A “VEXATIOUS LITIGANT” in a court???

(What is an example of vexatious conduct?
Making vexatious complaints. Making unrealistic, illogical, or baseless claims. Unreasonable behaviour • Threatening yourself or others.)

The US certainly knew what they needed to do to fascists in the 40's. Hopefully, they will remember...

The White House tweets: Make no mistake: Antifa is a radical terrorist organization that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the U.S. Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.

Under the Trump Administration, Antifa's days are over.

It's just more of the same crazy making nonsense. This is Republican politics under Trump. It's crazy making because if you look for a connection between what they say and our needs as a nation there rarely is one. They are constantly forcing the average person to question reality (eg wait, what, Antifa might overthrow the government, we're killing babies, undocumented people are getting better healthcare, yada, yada...) Everything they do while facing the public, all their lies, only serve the interests of their political machine right now, and that machine is only interested in distracting us from what it is they actually do when they have power.

If only we had a democracy so that we could vote them out.

If I were younger without all these darned responsibilities I'd've left long ago... But the reality is that the overwhelming majority can't afford to leave. Also, despite all the negative attention the US gets in this regard, much of the rest of the world is even more difficult to relocate to.

Breaking! Trump affects bowel function. Elsewhere:
I think a case could be made that the…uh… absence of trump from the world scene would definitely advance the cause of world peace. Heck, world peace, domestic peace, economic stability, immigrants’ rights, reconciliation of ancient enemies, reversal of hair loss, and regular bowel movements for all!

I think he's well aware of the falsehood of that claim. He's urped up similar rancid pablum before: 'I’m going to be reducing drug prices by 1,400 to 1,500%.'

It's a demonstration of his contempt for the general population but especially his MAGAs. Carnival barker gibberish and doubletalk, displaying a carnie-like assumption of stupidity in the audience--'The rubes just eat it up!'

Trump has discovered there is a...lot...of information.
Trump: "AI is based on information. I hope they're right about information. I don't know. You've gotta make a lot of money to-- there's gotta be a lot of information out there, but that seems to be pretty hot. We're leading the world on information on AI."
In his physical, it was discovered he has a heart, using EKG. And just on EKG alone, his heart is 14 years younger than Trump.

In an open letter to the Department of Education, MIT President Sally Kornbluth expressed concern that the compact could limit the university’s freedom of expression and independence. She said MIT already upholds many of the compact’s principles—such as rewarding merit and promoting free speech—but argued tying funding to anything other than scientific merit conflicts with the research institution's core values. The eight other schools are still reviewing the compact. The White House has given them until Oct. 20 to provide limited feedback and until Nov. 21 to make a decision.

The Trump administration this year has frozen billions in federal funding to several schools, citing antisemitism and DEI initiatives.

Stephen Miller, the gargoyle eminence behind Trump's garishly gilded throne got a bit overenthusiastic in his promotion of fascism while on live television. He basically declared Trump a de facto dictator, appears to have realised this and couldn't think on his feet to backpedal so just froze up.

White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller appeared to slip up in an interview Monday, admitting that he believes President Donald Trump possesses the authority of a dictator.

Miller, who has made himself the face of the Trump administration’s efforts to crush political dissent, made the comments while appearing on CNN to defend the president’s deployment of troops to Portland and Chicago, which have run into roadblocks from federal courts.

Given Miller’s comments, Sanchez asked, “Does the administration still plan to abide by that court ruling?”

Miller responded: “Well, the administration filed an appeal this morning with the 9th Circuit. I would note the administration won an identical case, in the 9th Circuit, just a few months ago, with respect to the federalizing of the California National Guard. Under title 10 of the US Code, the president has plenary authority, has…”

Miller then suddenly stopped speaking.

“Stephen? Stephen? Hey, Stephen, can you hear me?” Sanchez asked as Miller sat, wordlessly, his eyes blinking and darting around.

Sanchez then apologized, saying, “It seems like we’re having a technical issue,” before cutting to a break.

The recording of the interview reveals that there was not, in fact, a “technical issue.” Miller had appeared to cut himself off in the middle of his sentence before sitting motionless for approximately 15 seconds.

In a post with over 32,000 likes, one social media user speculated that it was because Miller had “said the quiet part out loud,” adding, “The plan wasn’t to be made public. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.”

After returning from the commercial, the interview continued. But the oddly specific phrase “plenary authority” was not invoked again. As the same user noted, the interview appears on CNN‘s YouTube channel, but has mysteriously been edited to remove Miller’s mention of “plenary authority.”

According to Cornell University’s Legal Information Institute, “plenary authority” refers to “power that is wide-ranging, broadly construed, and often limitless for all practical purposes.”

If Miller pulled up short because someone shouted in his earpiece, then perhaps he isn't driving policy but merely representing it to the public and implementing it, in which case, who is really controling policy and/or him?
