The President of the United States is spreading misinformation in the form of a conspiracy theory. Yeah, I was surprised too. The hyperborean troll would have been all over this one, resolutely ignoring the facts.
Donald Trump has turned his vengeful gaze toward his own former FBI Director.

In a Saturday Truth social rant, Trump accused former FBI Director Christopher Wray of lying about the events of January 6, while also echoing a claim that over 200 FBI agents were placed at the Capitol as “insurrectionists,” just days after former FBI Director James Comey was indicted for allegedly obstructing a congressional investigation and making false statements.

Wray was nominated by Trump to replace Comey, and took on the role as Director in August 2017, before resigning in 2024 rather than be fired after his relationship with the POTUS turned sour.

Trump’s post, shared the post on Saturday afternoon, seemed to have been prompted by a Blaze news article claiming that 274 FBI Agents were in place when the January 6 Capitol riot took place.

However, the report cited by the news outlet clarifies that the 274 listed agents were not “embedded” in the area prior to the attack, but were sent in response only after the riot began. [My emphasis.]

“It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax,” he began the long tirade against Wray.

“This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again!”

Trump continued: “That’s right, as it now turns out, FBI Agents were at, and in, the January 6th Protest, probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as ‘Law Enforcement Officials.’”

- trump makes sense, there were the undercover police who married and had kids with greenham common women here. Some people will sacrifice moral decency in the pursuit of truth. At it's extreme there is nazi medical science but it is something that happens repeatadly - no idea why, but some people value truth over a kind heart. And some people will honeytrap the innocent or vulnerable if they want to prove a point. But Trump, believe's himself saved by God to finally defeat the Russians in battle. It is important to recognise where the old guy with little time is taking you all?

Don’t you think it’s interesting that for Russians destroying the west has typically meant proving they’re no different than them? If they succeed they’ll only be left looking in a mirror.

There's no logic to the human condition. People and people(s) carry a death wish. Sometimes they carry it through. All empires die. And history is replete with self-inflicted dark ages. No morality play at hand in the annals of history. :?

Meh. I don't buy that "these are the natural facts, and they prove there's no answers or remedies". It's basically an ahistorical perspective; a circular perspective, one that begs the question; its premises assume its conclusion, etc.

Moon landing doubts. Chinese are asking the questions. They'll be first on the moon in the fullness of historic time after the modern era has been forgotten. China is in for the long game.
