To the small men in big trucks who yelled, “Get a job!” to patriotic, peaceful demonstrators on the street corners in Dripping Springs, TX:
1. I retired after teaching for almost 40 years.
2. I have a job— defending democracy.
3. It’s a Saturday.
4. Why aren’t you working?

Dripping Springs is so nice, shame about all the Texans there.

Some sort of platform and cover, people walking on grass, about 50 portapotties behind them. This went on for a few minutes for Trump. The rest of the mall, all the way to the Washigton Monument, just a usual Saturday crowd.

It's all about the TV camera angles... you only need three rows to look like a crowd. I was at an outside broadcast for a kids show in the 80s and they made c.30 people look like a football crowd by getting them to all stand behind the presenter.

It's routine now to have a political speaker on stage with people sitting behind in 3-4 rows. Trump could be speaking to an empty hall.

Stephen Miller. They forgot to mention Ayn Rand. Always an inspiration to far right.

Man shot at Utah protest
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... h-shooting
Detectives don’t yet know why Gamboa pulled out a rifle or ran from the peacekeepers, but they accused him of creating the dangerous situation that led to Ah Loo’s death. The Associated Press did not immediately find an attorney listed for Gamboa or contact information for his family in public records.

The gunshots sent hundreds of protestors running, some hiding behind barriers and fleeing into parking garages and nearby businesses, police said in a statement. “That’s a gun. Come on, come on, get out,” someone can be heard saying in a video posted to social media that appears to show the events.
