no boycott is illegal, you can't force people to buy one brand of crap over another, and I don't think a law prohibiting negative choices would be valid.

The terms 'legal' and 'illegal' are completely malleable as far as he's concerned. If it's something he likes, of course it's legal (the US Supreme Court, stacked with his toadies, has essentially agreed with him) and as a corollary, he gets to decide if something is illegal as well. To quote the demented turd: 'Long live the king.'

* * *
Meanwhile, another wannabe autocrat has taken it upon himself to dictate who's a traitor, based on his personal whims.

'Democrat Schools Musk on "What Makes America Great" After He’s Called a "Traitor"'
U.S. Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) is a retired NASA astronaut who spent 54 days in space. He’s also a retired U.S. Navy Captain, who served for 25 years including during the Gulf War, where he flew combat missions. But to Elon Musk, who leads President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Senator Kelly, a decorated aviator, is “a traitor.”

Kelly, who’s one of only two siblings who have ever traveled into orbit—his identical twin brother Scott is also a retired NASA astronaut—is married to the Democratic former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, who survived an assassination attempt but suffered a severe brain injury.

The Arizona Democratic Senator posted on social media — Elon Musk’s X platform — about his visit to Ukraine, a nation that has suffered devastating losses after President Donald Trump signaled full support for Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, and cut its military off from intelligence sharing.

...

“When Trump cut off these pilots from US intelligence that they need to plan their missions, he blinded them to the threat and put them and their aircraft at risk. But worse than that, it helps the Russians advance further into Ukrainian territory and murder more Ukrainians. President Trump says the Russians are ‘hitting them hard’ in a tone of voice that implies approval. It is sickening to see from an American President. ‘Hitting them hard’ means more dead Ukrainian kids.”

He talked about the “innovation and fighting spirit of the Ukrainians,” and said America could learn from some of their innovation.

After his series of twelve posts, which included photos from his trip, Kelly received many responses, may offering praise and thanks. And, he received one from Elon Musk: “You are a traitor.”

Senator Kelly responded writing, “Traitor? Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do.”

In addition to state support, Ukraine will accept support in person, or by e-transfer.

To many though, the term 'support' means get the tax base to do it, rather than doing anything with their own resources...

elsewhere:
Toddlers tend to get what they want because they simply make a nuisance of themselves until they do.

Elon Musk is a toddler, to be sure: intellectually and emotionally. He isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is or nearly as talented (at least in the ways he wants to be seen as talented). When you're a hundred-billionaire, no one will call you an emotional toddler; you're "eccentric."

But he's also a bully and a con man. He'll con you from the position of an unearned reputation, generally taking money and credit for other people's work and promising to share it with you if you just buy into the scheme. If that doesn't work, he'll bully you from a position of unearned wealth. Wealth buys you a political office which you can then control. Wealth buys you a bot-riddled media platform from which you can marshal your minions to destroy other people.
He's very good at gaming financial and corporate systems, a trait altogether common in West Coast business and politics. That takes some seed money, but mostly it takes a lot of bluff, bluster, and bullying. With patience, you can work your way up that ladder without actually being good at anything else.

wasn't that long ago the left loved electric vehicles. Now they burn them.

Principles! That's what should hold a 'side' together lol

I should buy a starlink. Lots of locals are selling them off in a fit of virtue signaling. Or so I hear.

It's Bron's, actually. We still manage to love the car, while detesting the owner of the company. We may be getting a home storage battery for our solar cells - it won't be a Tesla...
