There is a good story about how a Brit commander during that war took a US fort without firing a shot.
He had limited number of combatants ( indigenes and Canadian settlers ) but he fooled the fort into surrendering by parading the same bunch past the fort after switching up their ragtag uniforms with each other so the fort commander thought he was facing a superior force.

"He wants to meet, and we are setting it up," Trump said in remarks before a meeting with Republican governors at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

"President Putin wants to meet. He has said that even publicly and we have to get that war over with. That's a bloody mess," Trump said about the Russia-Ukraine war.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier on Thursday that Putin would welcome Trump's desire for contact, but so far there have been no formal requests. It would be more appropriate to wait for Trump to take office first, Peskov said.

The fires are still raging in L.A. The incompetent pols have no idea how to put them out. Thousands of magnificent houses are gone, and many more will soon be lost. There is death all over the place. This is one of the worst catastrophes in the history of our Country. They just can’t put out the fires. What’s wrong with them?

This appears to be the first large-scale Border Patrol raid in California since the election of Donald Trump, coming just a day after Congress certified the election on January 6, in the final days of Joe Biden’s presidency.

Well, we wouldn't want to actually solve the problem, right? That would mean more expensive groceries! So, instead we can keep an imperfect, overcomplicated route to legal work in play, and go after violators just enough to maintain the presumption of illegality.
