Re: All Things Trump: the story continues...
CNNTrump made his pick for attorney general hastily amid dissatisfaction with other potential candidates, but he has nevertheless grown enamored with the idea of having a political arsonist like Gaetz overseeing his promises to dismantle the Justice Department. He also believes Gaetz is uniquely positioned to defend the Trump administration on television, an attribute prioritized by the president-elect. Trump’s pick for deputy attorney general — his defense attorney Todd Blanche — will carry out the day-to-day work of overseeing the Justice Department’s more than 40 agencies and 115,000 employees.

I have an Onion story working out:
-Ramaswamy slashes FAA, planes to figure out how to land on their own.
-Musk crashes plane in DC on the way to slash the IRS (tax dept).

Third world countries often have very little in the way of regulatory authorities.
They often have a lot of building collapses, fires, health problems and disastrous environmental issues...

Trump is going to win he Nobel Peace Prize, and unlike Obama will actually deserve it. If he can end the war like he promisedThe Nobel Peace Prize 1906 was awarded to Theodore Roosevelt "for his role in bringing to an end the bloody war recently waged between two of the world's great powers, Japan and Russia"

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Why would he want it? It’s worthless. He should create an independent group and have them declare him peacemaker.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?
The Silver State. 1894.

Trump will be demanding his peace prize every month of his remaining 2 years. After which he chokes on a Big mac and Vance will be sworn in. And voted out 2028.

Trump is going to communicate to us using X where to report for
1 re-education camps
2 concentration camps if you are not born here

NYTMusk is also at war with federal regulators. He faces at least 20 investigations or reviews, including one into the software of Tesla’s self-driving cars and another into polluted water allegedly discharged from SpaceX’s launchpad in Texas. It’s safe to assume that Musk will try to quash these inquiries and also seek greater freedom from oversight in the future.
Musk views government regulation as more than just a drain on profits. He is a techno-utopian who sees his work — from trying to colonize Mars to implanting computer chips in people’s brains that will enable them to control devices with their thoughts — as vital to the long-term survival of the human race, and he doesn’t want bureaucracy to stand in his way. “The Department of Government Efficiency is the only path to extending life beyond Earth,” he wrote last month on X.
At the same time, some government regulations have proved enormously beneficial to him. Tesla generates billions of dollars selling zero-emission vehicle credits to carmakers that don’t make enough electric cars to earn them.
Cultivating Trump seems to be paying off. Trump was a harsh critic of electric vehicles; he accused them of hurting American autoworkers while helping China and Mexico. But on the campaign trail this year, Trump said that he was “for electric cars” because “Elon endorsed me very strongly.”
Once Trump is back in the White House, it’s easy to imagine X as the primary means through which he and his officials communicate with the public, bypassing an independent media that Trump considers hostile and Musk considers unnecessary and corrupt.
It would cement an unusual bond between two extraordinarily powerful, if famously impulsive, men. Provided that they don’t fall out, they stand to gain a great deal from each other.

Elon:
“He is still the reason all his employees want to work remotely,” Logsdon added.
In more upbeat news for the Tesla CEO, Donald J. Trump has tapped Musk to mastermind mass deportations, arguing, “Elon already got millions of people to leave Twitter.”

Trump has pledged to return to Washington and dismantle the checks and balances he saw as roadblocks to enacting his policy agenda in his first term as president.
Analysts say Trump's attempts to install Gaetz as AG will, if nothing more, be an early test of that.
Republican senators will have to lay their cards bare in a public vote on an appointment the president-elect has described as one that will "make Americans proud of the Department of Justice once again".
Trump will be able to see who's prepared to back his ideas, no matter how outlandish they may be.
