I joined threads...cause I had an Instagram account already. But I have no idea how it feeds me posts. Some I recognize as posters I did follow there. But then it feeds me local news and sports. I don't care about the sports. The college football only interests me while I watch a game.

So this will only be for poking at the phone during tv watching ads.

I used to use Twitter as a sort of news source. It gave links to the news site stories. It still does. To do the same in Threads it will take some days to add those.

Twitter the last time posted...some half a year ago... was a little better functioning than Threads is at this point.

It just feeds too much. I followed a few posters under someone I knew from Twitter (she is still there too) with some 100 000 followers. But a lot more just junk feeds in had to mute a lot of them.

it is just not novel anymore. And I went thru 2 elections with twitter.
