Trump was never convicted of this therefore he is still eligible. Colorado’s ruling is overturned.
Yours very truly,
John G. Roberts, Jr. Chief Justice of the United States and the other eight.
The trouble with that is that a bunch of people after the civil war were pardoned. I think it was a law. So there would not be a trial. But they were nevertheless Civil War insurrectionists and could never serve.

And uf she were running again, she would say the Trump II would be strictly Trump getting revenge and proving "I was right."

And what worries me is that it just might help him get re-elected...
He is appealing to those Americans who basically hate non-Americans...The head of NATO has warned that Donald Trump is putting the lives of US troops and their allies at risk by saying Russia should do "whatever the hell they want" to members of the military alliance who don't spend enough on defence.
Mr Trump is the Republican front-runner in the 2024 US presidential election.
"Any suggestion that allies will not defend each other undermines all of our security, including that of the US, and puts American and European soldiers at increased risk," NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg said in a statement.
"Any attack on NATO will be met with a united and forceful response."
Speaking at a rally in South Carolina on Saturday, Mr Trump recalled how he previously told an unidentified NATO member that he would "encourage" Russia to do as it wishes in cases of NATO allies who are "delinquent".
"'You didn't pay? You're delinquent?'" Mr Trump recounted saying.
"'No I would not protect you. In fact I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills."
And what worries me is that it just might help him get re-elected...

If this is not the favour Trump said he'd ask for one day for elevating those al those judges, then what is? They did Roe for their own reasons, but now it's down to the SC to literally save the country so it can be made great again. If the justices don't overturn the Colorado ruling they'll be blood on the streets.Tero wrote:The job is to decide the eligibility of Trump. Colorado did their part. They even had all the court documents properly done. Now the job is with the Supreme Court. Not congress, not the voters.
Perhaps it's become too easy to channel a Trumpster.

In part Trump is getting what he wants just by campaigning. He gets to protest all the court cases and he gets fo belittle people. All good stuff for him. He does not want the daily or any work as president. It would take him a month or so to pass executive orders and then sit at Mar a Lago to sign a few bills. He would get excited if he passed a lot of revenge measures, that might keep him more at the White House. But Mar a Lago for most of the winters. He is an old man after all.

Re: All Things Trump: the story continues...
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/2 ... l-solutionTrump isn’t quite promising a “final solution” to the “Jewish problem.” Instead, he’s promising a “final battle” to “drive out globalists.” Which is … not at all different.
The idea of casting out the communists, another Hitler favorite, isn’t new. Neither is that “final battle” phrase. Trump used both in his “I am your retribution” speech in March of 2023. That speech ended in much the same way as Trump’s two most recent appearances.
“With you at my side, we will demolish the deep state. We will expel the war mongers... We will drive out the globalists. We will cast out the communists. We will throw off the political class that hates our country … We will beat the Democrats. We will rout the fake news media. We will expose and appropriately deal with the Rinos [Republicans in name only]. We will evict Joe Biden from the White House. And we will liberate America from these villains and scoundrels once and for all,” he said.
Not quite how he is going drive out globalists. They just live here to own corporations. The workers are in Asia. How do you drive them...out? The goods you can stop coming. Good luck getting some shoes then. Sweaters you can knit yourself. But you have to raise the sheep for the wool yarn.

Why 76-year olds also vote for Trump:
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln woman is out thousands after a scammer coerced her into handing over a gold bar earlier this week.
On Monday, Lincoln Police got a call from a 76-year-old woman who claimed she’d been getting letters and calls from the Federal Trade Commission over the last month. A supposed agent on the other end told the woman she was being investigated for money laundering in Texas.
The scammer told her to buy a gold bar from the Royal Canadian Mint and to bring it to the Walmart on North 27th Street.
The woman did as she was asked and delivered a one kilogram gold bar to the store’s parking lot. Police said she gave the gold bar to the scammer who drove off with it in a white van.
Losses were estimated at more than $66,984, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
Lincoln Police is asking the public to remain skeptical of such calls and letters. Officers say you should be cautious if anyone tells you to transfer money or purchase something and deliver it to them.
