Trump not likely to pay for damages to victims of insurrection.
A U.S. district court judge on Tuesday dismissed most of the civil counts against former President Donald Trump and several others for their alleged role in the death of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died while defending the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Sicknick’s parter, Sandra Garaza, filed the lawsuit last January, alleging wrongful death, conspiracy to violate civil rights, two counts of negligence under an anti-riot law in Washington, D.C., and a claim under the D.C. Survival Act.

Trump/staff write:
On my first day back in office, I will terminate every open borders policy of the Biden administration and immediately restore the full set of strong Trump border policies.

Then, we will begin a record-setting deportation operation. Joe Biden has given us no choice. The millions of illegal aliens who have invaded under Biden require a record number of removals. This is just common sense.

To achieve this goal, I will make clear to every department and to state and local governments that we must use all resources and authorities available. We will shift massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement — including parts of the DEA, ATF, FBI, and DHS.

They will not stop until it's just white men all the way down.

[Bizarrely] Trump argues that the “election of the President” is a “national matter” and that the states have no authority over the process…and that the courts don’t have “manageable standards” to decide “disputes over presidential disqualifications.”

Kushner's buddy got 100 million for face masks. He only spent 1 million of it.

Donald Trump continued to profit from foreign governments while he was US president, with businesses tied to him receiving at least $7.8 million ($11.6 million) in foreign payments from 20 countries during his four years in the White House, Democratic congressional investigators say.

US House of Representatives Oversight Committee Democrats said the payments detailed in the 156-page report are likely a fraction of the foreign payments made to Mr Trump and his family during his 2017-2021 administration.

The report discussed four properties, less than 1 per cent of the 558 corporate entities Mr Trump owned either directly or indirectly as president.

Mr Trump's accounting firm did not provide documents regarding at least 80 per cent of Mr Trump's business entities, congressional investigators said.

"These countries spent — often lavishly — on apartments and hotel stays at Donald Trump's properties — personally enriching President Trump while he made foreign policy decisions connected to their policy agendas with far-reaching ramifications for the United States," the report said.

The countries included China, Saudi Arabia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malaysia and more.

It was inevitable once he refused to actually divest. There were ethics types yalping about this very thing (and brought at least one law suit over it) during his presidency. The Democrats putting numbers to it doesn't really change anything, as far as I can see.

I suppose his dubious foreign profiteering will have zero effect on his faithful, other than confirm in their minds yet another attack of their hero by the media establishment...

Trump planning a technicality and vote: congresss to remove insurrection charge after election but before Trump II era.
But one argument in the filing stands out, both for its novelty and its audacity. “Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment prohibits individuals only from holding office,” the petition reads. “It does not prevent anyone from running for office, or from being elected to office, because Congress can remove a section 3 disqualification at any time—and Congress can remove that disability after a candidate is elected but before his term begins.”

Now we are to vote on Trump and a VP without the insurrection bit decided. Then, after the election, 2/3 of house and senate reject Trump’s claim he was not running an insurrection only a protest. The Trump VP becomes president and Trump retires. She then pardons him for any remaining crimes, but Trump still is not in. But he wins over Biden! Trump goes on victory tour and finally, the election was not stolen.
