You criticise the judge because he's a Democrat, but quote Trump uncritically.
I didn't quote him 'uncritically'. I quoted him.
Maybe I should have said the shibboleths?
You know, now that you mention it, you let his quote sit there uncritically...
"Feeding them shit" is uncritical, eh?
Well, you may call it 'critical', but I fail to see which of his statements you are being critical of.
I'm sure you're doing your best.
If you think your Biden did great things in his warmongering first term, just WAIT until you get him into his 'lame duck' term! Boy howdy, he'll REALLY be free to do the right things for the Dems then!

Well, I'm glad you're secure enough to admit your failures.

The federal judge overseeing Donald Trump’s criminal case in Florida issued a rare ruling against the former president on Friday, denying his request to push back the May 2024 trial on charges he mishandled classified documents.
You Americans are fucking crazy, in some respects. To have a legal system where you have avowedly Democrat or Republican judges and prosecutors exposes any and all legal judgements to accusations of political bias, whether deserved or not...
Do you vote Trump then? Or 'spoil your ballot' (LOVE that euphemism!)
Neither, but I doubt you'd understand strategic voting in the US anymore than I would understand it in Canada.
Let's just say I worked to get the "best" the swamp had to offer to replace the dog that caught the car, and leave it at that.

Yeah, look at the idiots we elect!
However, it's a problem when your Constitution was written in a country without national parties and a proper power sharing mechanism. Our judiciary has no real power and relies on the cooperation of the other branches of government and people's trust. This is where the polarization of the last 35 years has done serious harm.

That decision is not binding though. If Trump later requests a change in date she can grant it. Former prosecutor Andrew Weissmann thinks Judge Cannon is actually helping Trump by keeping the date for now--it blocks the Trump portion of the Georgia case from moving forward.
This doesn't change my opinion of Cannon one iota; by allowing Trump to later move to delay the trial, but keeping the date for now, she is blocking Fani Willis from scheduling her trial on the current FLA date. And Cannon has substantially delayed the dates for all FLA filings.

Don't be cruel. It's a crazy system but it's the only one we got.
All the fainting couch theatrics about how Biden is supposedly directing the prosecutions of Trump have a genuine purpose beyond riling the rubes. It's a splendid cover for Trump to proceed to use the Department of Justice to go after anybody he's taken a dislike to, once he's back in office. He's openly saying that's his plan.
Donald Trump on Thursday said he could order the Dept. of Justice to “indict” his opponents if he wins back the White House next year, leading critics to issue warnings.
“On Thursday, in an interview with Univision, Trump again made explicit what is often implicit in his vengeance-fuelled campaign: his willingness to use the justice system to go after his opponents if he is returned to the White House,” The New Yorker‘s Susan B. Glasser reports. “Any other prospective President would have denied with all possible force a recent Washington Post report that Trump has already demanded that his aides make plans to target some former advisers who have become public critics, including his former chief of staff John Kelly, former Attorney General Bill Barr, and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.”
“Instead, Trump all but confirmed the story when he told the Spanish-language network that he would use the courts against his political rivals. ‘If I happen to be President and I see somebody who’s doing well and beating me very badly, I say, ‘Go down and indict them,’ ‘ Trump told Univision. ‘They’d be out of business. They’d be out of the election.’ ”
As the story points out, Trump already meddled with the Department of Justice when he was president--there is no reason to doubt that he'd go all out if he gets power again.

Don't know, it's behind a paywall.
I would say the guy dragging the country into multiple wars was the worst of the two, but to be fair, you could put congress, the senate and all of their advisors into a pail, and nearly all of them would be clamoring for one war or another.
It's why I liked mittensman. He seemed to be anti-war in his longer interview. Probably a thin scrim of polished turd with steaming politician underneath...good memes though.
