Endless yapping about polls on another forum. I brought up one item plus the missing the whole point for some polled people.

Nobody ever asks "what is important about the candidate to you that we have not asked?" Since you could not sort the answers well from that, it would require a new poll to add the most important "missing" item.

The statistics is not the problem. The problem it that the polled people do not understand the question the way the pollsters think they do.

Sounds like the polling is not going your way this week.

The polling has not reflected voters for 8-10 years. The main reason is that 50% of voters are from neither party. They are the ones likely to change in the next year. And the other problem is still what I said. The independents do not know how to answer since they want neither Trump of Biden.

I think you may be right that they want neither Trump nor Biden, but one strong reason the polls are shit, is they aren't trusted, and people don't say they are voting Trump. Just look at how you react when you learn that someone is a Trump supporter, and you'll begin to understand why no-one bothers saying so, except at the ballot box.

Division and discussion is good. Damaging that, and driving people apart, seems to serve some interest somewhere, but not the individuals who share communities, or even property lines, with people who are diverse in their outlook or politics.

Funding of politicians by donors is a murky business world-wide, in any political party. In a capitalist system dominated by corporations and wealthy, powerful people, donations to politicians are thinly disguised bribes, anyway, no matter what mainstream party. If donations to any party are legally fraudulent, let the law deal with them. It is unfortunate that, in the US, prosecutors and judges are often clearly aligned with either main party, meaning that prosecutions (or their lack) can be imputed as partisan, whether they are or not.

But none of the issues with dodgy donations have anything to do with putative election fraud - a very different scenario. Many legal investigations have shown no evidence of electoral fraud in the last presidential election in the USA - that parrot is definitely dead...

Most were dismissed on standing. While corporate and social media companies colluded to censor talk of election fraud.

Which sounds to me like an 'in-kind' donation to one party in that election dispute, but that isn't the kind of fraud I wanted to draw attention to. Everyone knows who's side google/meta/amazon are on in the US.

SBF/FTX paid for lots of the campaign for Biden. Paid for so much of his campaign, it's safe to say he couldn't have gotten where he is without that enormous fraud, done on his behalf, by Sam (now convicted of the fraud). That kid (his Mom, a Democrat supporter from way back, had nothing to do with his fraud) acted alone, took billions, didn't give it back, and now will go to jail. Just him. No word on whether the fraudulent funds should be clawed back from...the authorities who ended up with it.

Sure hope them cameras don't fail or anything.
