Re: Republicans: continued
So, perhaps the terms are a right-wing invention meant to portray progressive thinking in general as ludicrous and extreme...
However, here are some links which suggest sections of the transgender etc. communities are suggesting such terms should be used:
https://mcpress.mayoclinic.org/pregnanc ... cal-terms/
https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/healt ... 8cec7ffb95
https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/having-a-b ... on-binary/
I think that you can express a view that such terms are indeed silly without being in any real sense of the word disrespectful of the trans or non-binary community...

Breast is already gender neutral. Men have breasts. Have breast pockets. Can get breast cancer.
Like I said. No one is using these words in the real world. Googling them to find some obscure documents doesn't change that.
This is hysteria. Nothing more.

To the extent that a minority are using such terms (and they clearly are), it is perfectly reasonable to politely disagree with their use. I agree that the right does use them (and similar OTT expressions) in a hysterical fashion, but they are not initially made up by the right...

Wow, those redditors must be as stupid and blind as folks say.
I thought it was a meme
https://mcpress.mayoclinic.org/pregnanc ... cal-terms/Articles or online posts — even other articles on this blog — are now often using phrases like “person with a uterus,” “pregnant person” or “anyone with a prostate,” instead of the words “woman” or “man.”
Good thing no-one here was trying to deny the reality of the issue.
Because they would sure look ill informed.

What a lovely thing to say about a woman, Animavore!
I like cunts. I think everyone does (except those who can't access them, who pretend they like other genitals)

Marjorie Taylor Greene explains on Fox Business that her problems with Emmer include that he's not sufficiently bigoted and too squishy on voter suppression.

And with that new speaker it's clear that the Republican party have no intention of moving away from fascism.

Re: Republicans: continued
I don't know the new speaker, but is 'fascism' just anything that doesn't affirm the supremacy of the (Biden team) old white guy?

Re: Republicans: continued
Comments elsewhere about new speaker.
Longer term, he’ll try to shepherd the remaining appropriations bills through the House. They’ll pass on partisan lines and be filled with all kinds of kookiness – slashing funding, conservative policy riders, etc. The Senate will pass their own version of each bill that does not include these provisions, and Johnson will have to negotiate with Chuck Schumer and Biden over what kind of agreement can be reached.
This is where he will be tested. How much leeway will the FC give him to compromise? They had a special kind of hatred for Kevin McCarthy, will they be more willing to accept a deal that accomplishes some (but not all) of their goals if it comes from Johnson?

Re: Republicans: continued
Well, at least the new guy had the right view of the last election. There have been too many people insistent on the Establishment Narrative about that.
Maybe he'll do what McCarthy promised, and release the video footage so people can decide for themselves, what took place.

Re: Republicans: continued
So, Cunt, you clearly believe that Trump actually won the last election, but that Biden somehow stole it, aided by the machinations of the Deep State, even though every single legal examination of the massive electoral fraud which would have been needed to achieve that has come up with zilch...
You are truly a long way down the rabbit hole...

Re: Republicans: continued
How many of those 'legal examinations' were dismissed on standing, vs how many were examined?
Oh, and while you clearly believe the establishment narrative, was everything described in the Ball article fair game?
If so, will you still think so in 2024 when the Republicans copy their playbook?

Re: Republicans: continued
No it isn't. Fascism is a distinct political philosophy, one that demands centralised military authority under a dictator, and is generally typified by strict economic controls, the violent suppression of opposition, and a racist world view.
