There's absolutely no consistency about their reasons for avoiding responsibility for their actions on Jan 6 - a kind of manufactured mass hysteria means any and all imaginable excuses, no matter how convoluted, complex or farfetched, is deemed more likely and believable than the plain, mundane verifiable facts.

A traitor to the cause. He should have fought it to the bitter end. Now he's going to testify against any of the rest when asked.

You can't blame a fellow for saving his own skin though and it's unlikely he'll be the last. Saving his own skin is what the mountebank wannabe autocrat will do if he can.

'Trump co-defendant pleads guilty in Georgia, becoming first to reach plea deal in election-subversion case'
A defendant charged alongside former President Donald Trump in Georgia has pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. Scott Hall, a Georgia bail bondsman, is the first person to reach a plea deal in the case, in which Trump and 18 others were charged with racketeering conspiracy for their efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Hall, 59, who was involved in a breach of election equipment, pleaded guilty Friday in Atlanta to five counts of conspiring to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties. The plea deal included an agreement to a sentence of five years of probation, a $5,000 fine and a letter of apology to the state.

Part of the plea deal requires Hall to testify against others at future trials or hearings of “any co-defendants” in the election racketeering case. The felony charges against Hall were dropped as part of the agreement.

The Lady of the Kraken becomes the second person in the Georgia case to plead out.

'Former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell pleads guilty in Georgia election interference case'
Onetime Trump attorney Sidney Powell has pleaded guilty in the sweeping Georgia election interference case.

Powell spread baseless claims of widespread election fraud after the 2020 contest that Donald Trump lost, and worked to access voting machines in Coffee County, Ga., and elsewhere to further those assertions.

She initially faced racketeering and other charges in Georgia, and her plea deal means she agrees to reduced charges. A judge on Thursday said she faces one year of probation for each of six charges, and that she must testify truthfully against co-defendants.

Oh my. After everything he's done for them!

'Jenna Ellis becomes latest Trump lawyer to plead guilty over efforts to overturn Georgia's election'
Jenna Ellis, an attorney and prominent conservative media figure, reached a deal with prosecutors Tuesday and pleaded guilty to a reduced charge over efforts to overturn Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss in Georgia.

Ellis, the fourth defendant in the case to enter into a plea deal, was a vocal part of Trump’s reelection campaign in the last presidential cycle and was charged alongside the Republican former president and 17 others with violating the state’s anti-racketeering law.

Ellis pleaded guilty to a felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings. She had been facing charges of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and soliciting the violation of oath by a public officer.
The guilty plea from Ellis comes just days after two other defendants, fellow attorneys Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, entered guilty pleas. That means three high-profile people responsible for pushing baseless legal challenges to Democrat Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory have agreed to accept responsibility for their roles rather than take their chances before a jury.

Ellis, 38, said in a tearful statement that she relied on lawyers with much more experience than her and failed to verify that the things they told her were true.

Prosecutors recommend five years of probation for Ellis along with $5,000 in restitution, 100 hours of community service, writing an apology letter to the people of Georgia and testifying truthfully in trials related to this case.

The early pleas and the favorable punishment — probation rather than jail — could foreshadow similar outcomes for additional defendants who may see an admission of guilt and cooperation as their best hope for leniency. Even so, their value as witnesses against Trump is unclear given that their direct participation in unfounded schemes will no doubt expose them to attacks on their credibility and bruising cross-examinations should they testify.
'She relied on lawyers with much more experience than her.' I recall her standing next to Giuliani at at least a few of the press conferences. :hehe:

You know if they can't get him off the ballot by gagging him, or lying about his past business dealings, they should attack all lawyers who work with him.

That'll show how honest and fair that election was! Then everyone will believe that it was all on the up and up!

To fuck with free speech, that would certainly interfere with 'Our Democracy' (as dictated from Brussels).

I think we'll shortly find out that Ellis was never actually one of Trump's lawyers, that he probably never even met her, but if he did meet her he wouldn't remember her because he meets a lot of people all the time, or that if she was one of his lawyers somebody else must've brought onto the team, or she wasn't very good so he didn't actually pay her anything, or similar...

Since you think mainstream media is untrustworthy, maybe you are unaware that what these lawyers are doing is agreeing to testify against Trump and the rest of those indicted in Georgia, charged under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) for the scheme to overturn the 2020 presidential election in that state. Or maybe not. Go check your podcasts to find out what's really going on. :funny:

Or that TV show 'The View', but why pay for cable, when you are offering the same level of analysis for free?

THIS time they've got him! The walls are closing in!

Now that they can prevent the populace from voting for one of the most popular presidents in US history, they'll protect Democracy!

Cunt simultaneously holding two contradictory positions. The media and justice department are colluding to bring down Trump.. and he's incredulous that Trump will be convicted. Which one is it, Cunt?
