The best outcome is for Hamas to be eliminated as quickly as possible so the military action can cease. Of course, there would be zero deaths if they all surrendered and gave up the hostages, but that's not going to happen.

China and Russia must oppose Israel, because the US supports it...

Russia has a lot of ties with Israel - somewhat strained relations, but not un-cordial.

But they have even closer ties with Iran...

House to house will be so costly in Israeli lives, worries about the scene being booby trapped. Second carrier group in the area. Think Israel are going to use a tactical nuke to level North Gaza. If you join the dots.

I don't think that even Israel are that stupid. Putting aside that Gaza is the most densely populated place on the planet, and nukes are indiscriminate - Israeli land lies to the east of Gaza and they're already experiencing the impact of the windblown dust and smoke the bombing is creating.

Probably best for you to stop projecting what you want to happen as a settled matter.

I reckon they'd actually get away with using a nuke. I don't think even that is a step too far for America. America is all in with Israel.

If israel were that stupid, the next vitrified place would be Tel Aviv, I'm not sure Jerusalem would be targeted because al aqsa... but I'm not 100% sure that being the 3rd most important holy site of islam would be enough protection...

you can bet Iran would find the wherewithal to buy a few warheads from Pakistan, or maybe from Russia, and a couple Zircon missiles to deliver them

If by 'get away with' you mean 'get permission or backing from the US' then maybe - maybe not. But it would send a signal that nukes were now part of the game. Who wants that to happen other than those who think death is better than life - whether the depressed, traumatised, or the religious.

It would certainly push Iran to finish its nuclear weapons program.

Broke the taboo, nukes flying every other day. Coming to a city near you soon? Gonna happen sooner or later.

An excerpt:
As Israel and Palestinians begin yet another war, the question needs to be asked: Are Israelis and Palestinians locked forever in this dreadful cycle of violence, with thousands of families on both sides forever grieving their lost children, parents or siblings?
Unfortunately, I think the answer is yes...
