I think the timing is weird.

The allegations have already cost Brand money (youtube demonitization) so do you think they'll pay him to make up for it? Or do they only have to pay if he proves he was innocent?

So the 'weird' thing about the timing is only that these allegations hadn't come to light earlier - because everyone already knew he was a sexual predator.

lol. That's a real stretch you know - in light of the allegations. It's no surprise that Brand, his aficionados and acolytes, would be keen to cast him as the victim. After all, he's a bit of a hero to some people, and he probably would've gotten away without ever having to confront his past behaviour if it wasn't for them pesky women. Regardless of the timing, the allegations are now in the public domain, so he has little option but to deal them. Instead he's chosen to ignore the content of the allegations and instead tried to make the story about how everyone is out to get him. This might play well with his followers, but at some point he's going to have to give an account of his behaviour and respond to the allegations directly.

Out of love for Big Pharma the craven LEFT promptly gets together a smear campaign with their puppets the corporate media, and Brand's name is dragged through the sewer.

The timing of this is too on the nose to be a coincidence, and too well explained by this narrative. Anybody who isn't taken in by the corporate media can see it.

You're not wrong to be suspicious about timing as a general rule - people often sit on this stuff for a while until it's expedient to release it (eg the Matt Hancock CCTV footage). However in this instance I do believe it's coincidental. My understanding is that it stems from an investigation that was sparked when the British-based Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan spoke out last year about a then-anonymous celebrity who was well-known in the industry as a sexual predator. Ryan is said to have accused Brand to his face all the way back in 2018, which pre-dates Brand's political reinvention.
