Trump in court in October 2024? In the middle of election last rallies.

Ft. Pierce, Florida
CNN

US District Judge Aileen Cannon signaled she is likely to push back the start of a trial in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case beyond the mid-December date proposed by federal prosecutors – but appeared deeply skeptical of arguments from Donald Trump’s lawyers that he couldn’t get a fair trial while running for president.

During the hearing in Fort Pierce, Florida, Cannon told the prosecutors that their timeline was “compressed” and said that cases like this take more time.

Cannon did not decide on a trial date but said she plans to “promptly” issue an order on the matter.

Fulton county prosecutors prepare racketeering charges in Trump inquiry
Exclusive: racketeering charges based on influencing witnesses and computer trespass, sources say

For the computer trespass charge, where prosecutors would have to show that defendants used a computer or network without authority to interfere with a program or data, that would include the breach of voting machines in Coffee county, the two people said.

The breach of voting machines involved a group of Trump operatives – paid by the then Trump lawyer Sidney Powell – accessing the voting machines at the county’s election office and copying sensitive voting system data.

There is speculation that Smith will go ahead and indict on the Jan. 6 case against the former president, getting a speedy trial in Washington DC before the Florida case gets to trial. The Trumpist judge in Florida is helping drag out the documents case (I expect she'll agree to further delays) but she can't protect him from everything.

Democrats twiddling their thumbs! Get your narrative right! It's only going to be in federal court once for Jan 6th.
It’s undoubtedly true, as Psaki implies but doesn’t say outright, that Democrats and the media have struggled to form a totemic narrative relating to the attempt to overturn the 2020 election and instead have settled on a double-helix narrative: on one side, Trump’s myriad attempts to use the legal and political systems to invalidate a legitimate election; on the other, a violent assault on the seat of American democracy.

In this way, it’s a tricky story to tell: These two narrative strands proceed in parallel but have esoteric connections. Trump encouraged the attack and deliberately did nothing to stop it, but it is not quite accurate to say he orchestrated it. And it’s hard to quite paint Trump as someone who set out specifically to undermine the constitutional order—he was simply desperate to prove to the world that he was not a loser, and the constitutional order happened to be in his way. Trump might merely be taking (unwitting) advantage of his own seriocomic haplessness.

Just for the record:

'Trump and Allies Forge Plans to Increase Presidential Power in 2025'
Donald J. Trump and his allies are planning a sweeping expansion of presidential power over the machinery of government if voters return him to the White House in 2025, reshaping the structure of the executive branch to concentrate far greater authority directly in his hands.

Their plans to centralize more power in the Oval Office stretch far beyond the former president’s recent remarks that he would order a criminal investigation into his political rival, President Biden, signaling his intent to end the post-Watergate norm of Justice Department independence from White House political control.

Mr. Trump and his associates have a broader goal: to alter the balance of power by increasing the president’s authority over every part of the federal government that now operates, by either law or tradition, with any measure of independence from political interference by the White House, according to a review of his campaign policy proposals and interviews with people close to him.

Mr. Trump intends to bring independent agencies — like the Federal Communications Commission, which makes and enforces rules for television and internet companies, and the Federal Trade Commission, which enforces various antitrust and other consumer protection rules against businesses — under direct presidential control.

He wants to revive the practice of “impounding” funds, refusing to spend money Congress has appropriated for programs a president doesn’t like — a tactic that lawmakers banned under President Richard Nixon.

He intends to strip employment protections from tens of thousands of career civil servants, making it easier to replace them if they are deemed obstacles to his agenda. And he plans to scour the intelligence agencies, the State Department and the defense bureaucracies to remove officials he has vilified as “the sick political class that hates our country.”

...

“What we’re trying to do is identify the pockets of independence and seize them,” said Russell T. Vought, who ran the Office of Management and Budget in the Trump White House and now runs a policy organization, the Center for Renewing America.

The strategy in talking openly about such “paradigm-shifting ideas” before the election, Mr. Vought said, is to “plant a flag” — both to shift the debate and to later be able to claim a mandate. He said he was delighted to see few of Mr. Trump’s Republican primary rivals defend the norm of Justice Department independence after the former president openly attacked it.

I think the agenda is not so much Trump as the last president, it's more sweeping. The rhetoric points to permanent minority rule of Christian Patriots, banishing to irrelevance (and in some cases prison) the godless baby-killing degenerates and groomers who've led America astray. Once that is accomplished, the majority of the country will wake from the delusions foisted on them by the Socialists and Enemies of the People, coming around at last to the right way of thinking.

Fairy tales aside, the real agenda appears to be regulatory capture writ large, instituted as standard policy of the federal government.

It's all orchestrated and controlled by space aliens who have infiltrated the republicans by remote mind control. Their agenda is to use the human race as test animals in virus development, eventually feeding the remainder of the pitiful survivors to their pet yetis.
