Aye. Apparently he's going to use that prestigious organ to tell the world exactly what he thinks. Very few have spotted the irony in that.

Of course he needs to do it posh pirate style.

I think Mr. Watters misunderstood what 'people' meant when they said, 'You're a colossal twat.'

'Fox host: "People told me" I have "done more for women’s sports than Meg Rapinoe"'
Fox News host Jesse Watters proclaimed on Tuesday's edition of The Five that he has "done more for women's sports than" United States Women's National Soccer Team star Megan Rapinoe.

Rapinoe on Monday gave an interview with Time Magazine in which she railed against the right-wing crusade against transgender rights.

"We as a country are trying to legislate away people's full humanity," Rapinoe said. "It's particularly frustrating when women's sports is weaponized. Oh, now we care about fairness? Now we care about women's sports? That's total bullsh-t. And show me all the trans people who are nefariously taking advantage of being trans in sports. It's just not happening."

Watters was bothered by Rapinoe's statement and complained about it to his colleague Dana Perino.

"So I guess there's no problem in the shower, but she wouldn't be okay if a guy took her spot on the team and she rode the pine. She would never be okay with that. She doesn't wanna shower with men. She would not be okay with that," Watters said. "Notice how, Dana, it's only men trying to compete against women in sports, right? It's not women trying to play men's sports. It's men trying to play women's sports."

Watters then declared, without citing any sources, that "some people have told me that I have actually done more for women's sports than Meg Rapinoe has done, that maybe she's a traitor in the war on women and I have fought valiantly in that war, obviously on the women's side. And that's not me saying that, and I actually disagree with that. I'm just saying it's something that's being said."

In the federal case in Louisiana in which government is restricted from suggestions and requests directed at social media, the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has granted a temporary hold. (Original trial judge's decision in State of Missouri vs. Biden.)

I stand by my estimation--that the 5th Circuit will uphold the Trump judge's decision, linked above.

'Appeals court temporarily blocks order that restricted feds’ contact with social media firms'
A federal appeals court has put a temporary hold on a district court judge’s unusual order restricting a wide swath of federal officials and agencies from communicating with social media companies about content on their platforms.

A three-judge panel considering emergency matters for the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday granted the Biden administration’s request to put the far-reaching preliminary injunction on hold for now while the case is referred to another appeals panel that will consider a longer-term stay of U.S. District Court Judge Terry Doughty’s Independence Day order.

That second panel will be the one to rule on the merits of Doughty’s ruling, issued in connection with a lawsuit filed by the Republican attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana claiming that Biden administration officials violated the First Amendment by pressuring social media companies to remove or edit user posts that contained alleged disinformation about Covid-19, elections and the content of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Justice Department officials and the White House complained that Doughty’s broadly worded injunction prohibiting various officials and agencies from discouraging social media firms from hosting First Amendment-protected content was difficult to implement and could cause cautious federal officials to refuse to deal with companies like Facebook, Twitter and Google.

Two of the world's most prominent sleaze-mongering tabloids are having a slap-fight over proper attribution of salacious pablum.

'Daily Mail and NY Post Open Fire in Hilariously Petty War'
A long-simmering feud between the Daily Mail and the New York Post has reached its apex with both outlets apparently instructing editors to avoid mentioning, attributing, or linking to the other, Confider has learned.

The two wildly popular tabloids have long competed over the same stories, and have often resisted acknowledging rivals. But their beefing heated up last this month, four people familiar with the situation said, when the Post initially failed to credit the Mail as having first reported a lawsuit claiming pro-golf star Greg Norman and his wife hosted a boozy party where an underage girl was sexually assaulted.

The Post later added a credit, but hard feelings lingered, with Mail leaders quietly directing news staff to stop linking to the Post.

The cold war turned hot again last week, however, when the Mail then didn’t credit the Post for its interview with the wife of a Long Island man who stripped naked at a Vegas casino and danced on a poker table after punching a one-legged gambler.

The Mail later added a credit after annoyed Post brass reached out, but the paper ultimately decided to issue a similar edict to its editors.

Best line of Ben Shapiro's ankle-biting review of the Barbie film (at least of the quotes in the article):
One of the Barbies is a trans Barbie. And this is true! Totally normal, as if this is a female Barbie—with a voice deeper than my own.
Shapiro is known for his squeaky, nasal yammering.

'Ben Shapiro, 39, Films Himself Setting Fire to Barbie Dolls Because He Is Manly and MAD'
Ben Shapiro has a new obsession: Greta Gerwig’s summer blockbuster Barbie.

In a wild 43-minute-long tirade posted on YouTube, the 39-year-old conservative political commentator appeared to try and spark mass protests against the PG-13-rated film. Shapiro begins by burning Barbie dolls, then launches into a rant where he shames a trans woman cast as a Barbie, and walks through his other criticisms in the “pages and pages of notes” he took about the film while watching it.

It's funny watching conservatives lose their nut over Barbie. They really are ridiculous people.

Barbie is actually far right. A classic example proving the far left and the far right share common denominators. Movie begins with a mock genocide. A replacement of normal dolls with the perfectionist one. Might be socialism but its national socialism stoking the engine of this movie.

According to a radio show about the origins of the doll, the designers were contracting with a firm in Japan to create prototypes. There was a language barrier. The Japanese company sent prototypes with nipples on the breasts of the dolls, and the Americans didn't know how to tell them not to be so anatomically correct, so the designer would carefully sand off the nipples and send the prototype back. Apparently it took several iterations of this process before the Japanese got the message. :hehe:

Fox "news": electric vehicles bad!
Fast charging stations – which only charge EV’s up to 90% – cost more than gas for the same mileage. On the family’s first stop in Fargo, North Dakota, it took two hours and $56 to charge his vehicle from 10% to 90%. The charge was good for another 215 miles.
On the second stop, in Albertville, Minnesota, the free charger was faulty and the phone number on the charging station was of no help, he said. The family drove to another charging station in Elk River, Minnesota, but the charger was faulty there as well.

Bala ultimately had the vehicle towed to a Ford dealership in Elk River and rented a regular gasoline-powered vehicle to complete the family’s trip to Chicago. The family picked up the F-150 Lightning on their way back to Winnipeg.
