Washington Post:
Lawyers for President Donald Trump saw Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as the key to overturning the results of the 2020 election, according to a set of emails provided to congressional investigators.

Eight emails, ordered released by U.S. District Judge David O. Carter of California, include correspondence between Trump lawyers Kenneth Chesebro, John Eastman and others discussing various legal strategies to convince Republican members of Congress to object to the official certification of electoral votes in a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, 2021.

"Your Excellency". Trump must have loved that.

Trump actually wrote all the letters to Kim, one short one all in magic marker. CIA analysts tried to analyze who wrote the N Korea letters, as it was not Kim. The letters did reflect his mood. The last one Kim cooled off on Trump as Korea US exercises were still going on at a smaller scale but could be seen on satellite.

The judge in the Trump Co. fraud civil suit complimented the Trump lawyer for 'excellent work.' Excellent work is all very well, but inevitably lawyers for the bulgy mountebank are forced to try some dodgy footwork in their attempt to carry his case forward. 'Objectively according to whom?' the counsel asked when discussing fraudulent claims regarding square footage of Trump properties, as if the tape measure were subject to discussion. The judge wasn't willing to encourage that attempt at post-truth advocacy.

Likewise arguments essentially amounting to 'everybody does it, and nobody is being fooled' (they are 'sophisticated parties'). I think in plain words he is arguing they know they are being lied to and they expect to be lied to, and they take it into account. Again, the judge was not persuaded. He made note of the fact that in deposition Trump invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times to avoid answers that would tend to incriminate him.

'Manhattan Judge Appoints "Independent Monitor" for Trump Org, Draws "Negative Inference" from Ex-President Invoking the Fifth More Than 400 Times'
The judge [Arthur Engoron] said the case boiled down to the Trump Organization allegedly bumping up a property by $100 million one year, $200 million the next – before asking Wallace [representing the state against Trump Co.] to verify whether or not he was just making up such numbers. The AG’s office, appreciative of the softball, rattled off a list of figures that allegedly showed fraud.

The judge then focused in on one valuation, speaking slowly: “Outside appraisal, $750,000. Trump appraisal, $50 million.”

Dripping with doubt, Engoron incredulously asked if that was a good faith number. The [Trump Co.] attorney’s answer – again contingent on context and complexity – ultimately didn’t quite matter, as the judge’s question, near the end of the nearly three hours of argument, spoke for itself.

If Dems win either or both of the House and Senate, the Magats are going to blow a fuse. Mini riots at each Capitol?

i don't think very much. It was Trump himself and the specific Jan 6th date that caused the incidents. This will kind of run over 2 weeks and maybe tow December. Dilutes the response.

We have Trumpsters voting here and there is absolutely nobody screaming about stolen election and no creeps standing at voting box.

How have Trump endorsees faired in the midterms, and what might that mean for a Trump run at 2024?

Democrats stole the election from trumpsters, again.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/09/politics ... index.html

Well, Herschel Walker might be the one bright spot for Trump. In December. If all the 2% independent candidate voters go to Walker:
Warnock
Incumbent
49.2%
1,941,020
18,043 ahead
Walker
48.7%
1,922,977

NYT
Many of Donald Trump’s most prominent endorsements came up short. He delivered brief remarks at a Mar-a-Lago party last night, and made no mention of DeSantis, a potential 2024 rival.
America leaves these midterms much as it entered, The Times’s Lisa Lerer writes: a divided country that remains anchored in a narrow range of the political spectrum.

And, more trump food throwing:
Democrat Letitia James has secured her position as New York Attorney General in a convincing win over her Republican opponent Michael Henry.

An MSNBC report announcing her victory has gone viral on Twitter with over 180,000 views.

With 83 percent of the votes counted, James had 54.2 percent of the vote to Henry's 45.8, according to The New York Times.

The wannabe Blob King is displeased with the election results, according to a purported inside source. It's all CNN lies of course--Jussie Smollett! Nick Sandman!!! He is well known to be the most even-tempered person anybody has ever met.

'Trump is "livid" after GOP midterms performance, adviser says'
Former President Donald Trump "is livid” and “screaming at everyone” after last night’s disappointing GOP results in the midterms, a Trump adviser who has been in contact with Trump’s inner circle tells CNN.

“Candidates matter,” the Trump adviser said. “They were all bad candidates,” the adviser continued, critiquing many of Trump’s handpicked contenders in key battleground states.

This adviser said it’s unlikely Trump would delay his expected presidential announcement because “it’s too humiliating to delay.” But the adviser said there are too many unknowns at this point.

The most striking loss for Trump came in Pennsylvania, where Republican Mehmet Oz fell to Democrat John Fetterman in what was the most expensive Senate race in the country. Trump endorsed Oz, during the contentious Republican primary, effectively pulling through a brutal primary and narrowly into the general election. But where the former president’s backing was decisive in the primary, it was an albatross in the general election for a Republican Senate candidate who was attempting to make inroads in the suburbs by touting his own moderation.

While Trump did score some Senate wins — Trump-backed GOP JD Vance defeated a stronger than expected challenge from Democrat Tim Ryan in the Ohio Senate race, while Republican Ted Budd defeated Democrat Cheri Beasley in North Carolina — those wins have so far been limited to clearly lean Republican states.

In state races, Trump did as poorly. But there is a ray of hope for Trump in Arizona.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kari_Lake

Kari Lake has to win for the Trump "stolen election" theme to be of any use. If "inflation" (caused by Biden) is more important than abortion, the stolen election myth is not going to be much of anything in 2024. Sure, some losers on the red side will use it. But all this whining will make them look like....losers.
