I'm surprised Cruz hasn't become president.
I was given a year of free milkshakes once. The year passed and I hadn’t bothered to get even one.

Cruzin' for a fall that one. Only needs Trump to say it was all Ted's idea in the first place. :)

Another right winger I had never heard of:
"As a grocery store checkout cashier, he watched welfare recipients talk on cell phones although the working Vance could not afford one. His resentment of those who seemed to profit from poor behavior while he struggled, especially combined with his values of personal responsibility and tough love...."

Rand Paul has managed to claw his way back into headlines by regurgitating blatant pro-Putin propaganda.
Nested tweets wrote:
BLINKEN: If you look at the countries Russia attacked, these were countries that were not part of NATO

RAND PAUL: You could also argue the countries they've attacked were part of Russia

BLINKEN: I firmly disagree. It's the right of these countries to decide their future
Wait, is Rand Paul's argument that since these countries used to be part of Russia, then they are allowed to kill them indiscriminately because, well, they own them?

If so, Britain would like a word.

I don't think the Queen wants us back. You know, Trump. After he wins the 2020 election, he will want a ride in her carriage. Like Putin.

Rand Paul, Soviet revanchist. He helps keep the US Senate ridiculous.

If the "mainstream" is pro-Ukraine, the crazy right needs to be pro Putin...

I'm sure families cowering from airstrikes in their basements are deeply concerned about Rand Paul's apparent lack of concern for their plight. :|

...our schools don't even have textbooks. I keep waiting to hear that brought up.

 --give me (as a student) a good textbook please.

We didn't have textbooks until just before the holidays this year. When we did get them they had to stay in the classrooms and students weren't allowed to write in them. Fine, except the books were designed to be used in an entirely different way. They were essentially workbooks. The pages were perforated to make them easy to take out ffs... :nono:

I went to a high school in Chicago that had no text books. For a month. We moved to the suburbs to the school that I graduated from.

There was 1 good teacher in the no books school. I still remember her explanation of the feudal system.
