No need. Trump lost by something like 7 million votes. Had his loss been due to massive voter fraud, it would have been revealed by the dozens of court challenges and numerous recounts. The fact that Biden won Georgia three times on account of the latter, and actually increased his tally in another is a source of great amusement.

Still, "2000 Mules" will be more evidence for the majority of Republicans who think Trump's victory was stolen, and that is the real purpose of the film, regardless of the makers' protestation to the contrary.

He was too cunning to actually say anything like "be violent". Dogwhistling did the job well enough anyway. On the 19th of December he tweeted: "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!"



In Trump's statement on the evening of the insurrection he did not say a word condemning the violence after the crowd had left the capitol. He told the violent insurrectionists "We love you. You're very special" (0:49) and to go home. Someone must have told him he better explicitly condemn the day's violence, which he eventually did the following day. Had he meant it, he would have told them to stop the violence before the insurrection had even petered out.
