Republicans betting everything on Trump for the midterm election so they can stop socialism:
CNN
For McCarthy to stay in Trump's good graces, he can't be seen as too sympathetic or even ambivalent toward Cheney, or else he risks incurring the wrath of Trump and the right -- a crucial voting bloc in his bid to become speaker. And he's already defended her on two occasions: he stood up for Cheney during the first effort to boot her from leadership immediately after she voted to impeach Trump last year for inciting the deadly attack on the Capitol, and he has more recently resisted the demands to remove her and Kinzinger from the conference.

Trump himself became a never-trumper by once supporting vaccination and getting the vaccine himself

Elsewhere: Boebert doesn't understand any of the words she hears, beyond "gun" and "librul". She is as thick as a post. There needs to be an minimum entry level exam for political aspirants. There's one to join the military, so there should be one for congressional candidates.

It's all OK, because...we are just victims

Those lopsided results explain why attacks on "critical race theory" have spread like wildfire among Republican politicians. Glenn Youngkin, the former private equity executive who won the Virginia governorship last November, began his term with an executive order prohibiting schools from teaching "inherently divisive" concepts that "instruct students to only view life through the lens of race and presumes that some students are consciously or unconsciously racist, sexist, or oppressive, and that other students are victims."

Republicanism is a religion. The prophets, like Trump, get messages from God, and the followers are to accept them unquestioningly.

I'd take random noise over just about everyone's messaging now.

We can't take rental aid, because it comes from...you know...Biden. And those lazypeople should just get jobs in our meat packing industry.

Rickets is out of the governor race due to term limits. He is struggling to be relevant to republicans, and we have no idea what job he wants. He could run for senator but our two senators are already Republican. Nobody wants him.

In the very unlikely situation GOP does not run Trump, Ricketts might be in the running for VP as a "good Trump guy." He would be happy to throw out electors.
