religions congregate around the edges of the unknown, unknowns doesn't really mean anything really, beyond hints there might be a direction of travel. The stars attracted masses of astrology for thousands of years before the truth of their nature was settled through improved instruments. Might be the same with God? Need some technological advance undreamed today to switch the light on for us?
