Media Bias
Re: Media Bias
Oh Hermy, I don't have a problem with your statistics.
You can prove anything you want with them.
You can't see media bias when a group of them bans a story, idea or individual, but you can prove the hell out of racism in a country you don't live in, among people you don't understand.
You think of huge groups of people as fundamentally racist. It's been helpful in understanding your perspective, and giving it proper weight.

Re: Media Bias
So, you accept the clear disadvantage suffered by black Americans, but do not regard it as racism...
No, actually he (or anyone else) can't...
I think that you mean that, unless a majority of white Americans behave in their personal space as KKK members, racism in the US cannot exist. Absolute rubbish, of course. You clearly have no comprehension of systemic racism.
This is the precise type of trolling that you have been called out on previously. You are living on borrowed time.

Re: Media Bias
They are not my statistics. I stole them from the pages of sites like the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Congressional Research Service, Forbes and others that are not known to tilt in favour of blacks.
I challenge you to come up with statistics that disprove their lot. If you can find any that do so and are trustworthy, you are right in saying "you can prove anything you want with them." I'll wait.
Now, do you really have no problem with the statistics I listed? A simple yes or no will suffice.

Re: Media Bias
To be fair, the author did write that "There is no such thing as a nonracist or race-neutral policy. Every policy in every institution in every community in every nation is producing or sustaining either racial inequity or equity between racial groups." Trouble is of course that our member from Yellowknife regards racial equity as a bad thing.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 6:07 amPerhaps, but he actually went further to imply that the author of a book called How To Be An Anti-racist is a racist.JimC wrote:I suspect that, probably without saying it, Cunt would regard those facts as proof of the lazy and shiftless nature of black people rather than any form of systematic disadvantage with racism at its roots...Hermit wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 11:21 pmDoes this mean you have no problem with the facts that as demographic groups

Re: Media Bias
I don't value his opinion highly, because of his insistence on equity being so important. I can find inequity between siblings. How does that indicate racism, JimC?JimC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 5:27 amSo, you accept the clear disadvantage suffered by black Americans, but do not regard it as racism...

Since you threaten those with different opinions here (borrowed time - lol), I'll share a smarter one with you. You can tell he's smarter because his ideas are out there to be discussed, with his right name on them.
Have been for awhile, too. Of course, you are welcome to call his ideas 'racist' as per the racist framework offered by Kendi.

As to borrowed time, why don't you tell me what I'm supposed to say. Try to empathize, put yourself in my place, with my dislike of equity, and my lifelong history of not being racist. See if you can suggest to me how I can reject these vile, deceptive ideas without running afoul of moderation.Thomas Sowell wrote:There are so many fallacies about race that it would be hard to say which is the most ridiculous. However, one fallacy behind many other fallacies is the notion that there is something unusual about different races being unequally represented in various institutions, careers or at different income or achievement levels.
Yet some racial or ethnic minorities have owned or directed more than half of whole industries in many nations. These have included the Chinese in Malaysia, Lebanese in West Africa, Greeks in the Ottoman Empire, Britons in Argentina, Indians in Fiji, Jews in Poland, and Spaniards in Chile — among many others.
Not only different racial and ethnic groups, but whole nations and civilizations, have had very different achievements for centuries. China in the 15th century was more advanced than any country in Europe. Eventually Europeans overtook the Chinese — and there is no evidence of changes in the genes of either of them.
Among the many reasons for different levels of achievement is something as simple as age. The median age in Germany and Japan is over 40, while the median age in Afghanistan and Yemen is under 20. Even if the people in all four of these countries had the same mental potential, the same history, the same culture — and the countries themselves had the same geographic features — the fact that people in some countries have 20 years more experience than people in other countries would still be enough to make equal economic and other outcomes virtually impossible.
Add the fact that different races evolved in different geographic settings, presenting very different opportunities and constraints on their development, and the same conclusion follows. Yet the idea that differences in outcomes are odd, if not sinister, has been repeated mindlessly from street corner demagogues to the august chambers of the Supreme Court.
I'm done talking about racism here. You can find plenty of disagreement on other platforms if you still desire it. You can't tempt me in when holding my ideas gets me threatened with 'moderation'.

Funny shit, coming from a band of apostates, but it doesn't cost anything to pop in and survey your thoughts.
Isn't someone going to call Sowell a racist?
Is Hermit going to admit I already said I didn't have a problem with his statistics? I just reject his understanding of those stats, their relevance, or his fellow man.
Speaking of bias, I'm getting a weird error message when trying to access this site through normal means. Maybe that has something to do with why we haven't seen Svartalf.

I see the other side just fine Cunt, and I don't have your need to call people I disagree with idiots and racist.
Now, are you leaving or do you want to discuss Kendi and Sowell's arguments on their merits?

My latest interest involves how to distrust Ben Shapiro.
He strikes me as biased a few ways, one way in favour of Israel, and against the Arab part of the world.
With that in mind, what will he be bullshitting about, when he talks about the terrible Taliban?
I would expect a lot of bullshit around it, by design, and by accident/chaos, but I suspect he would be reliably biased in one direction.
