Why can't the people trying to do the right thing be that good at word games?
Defund the police, for example. It makes perfect sense, but they should have called it "unburden the police". No reason to get cops involved if a schizophrenic person is having an episode.

It's amazing how these guys spun the ordinary vaccination record into a vaccine passport though. Why can't the people trying to do the right thing be that good at word games?
I think that its very important for people to have a (hopefully unforgeable) vaccine record. I also think that there are many situations where it is legitimate to require proof of vaccination to attend, or for certain types of employment (health care or aged care workers, for example)
However, it is reasonable to have a public discussion on how far reaching such requirements might be.
All governments and their associated legal systems compromise individual freedom to one degree or another. The extremes, like the current government of China are easy to recognise and deplore. As for the majority of western democracies, if the pendulum of government control swings too far in that direction, citizens have at least have the opportunity to discuss and argue the issues, and respond via the ballot box.
But it's laughable to suggest that all restrictions imposed by government instrumentalities and laws are an unnecessary assault on freedom, which must be resisted by any means...
Remember that most of these fuckers have been vaccinated. Except for the wackadoodle Rand Paul...

Yes, and the global communists, being a much larger group, compromise that much more than smaller governments, in general.
I suspect that you would include an absurdly large group of countries, including much of Europe, into "global communists". In reality, China is the only current candidate for being a communist nation, but they are a weird hybrid of capitalism and state authoritarian government that would have Marx and Lenin rolling in their graves...

Some other countries disguised as communist regimes are Vietnam, Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela. Yes, they'd have Marx and Lenin rolling in their graves too.

The other extreme being Somalia.
I know what you mean, but it is not a deliberate choice, like armchair libertarians would like to imagine, of little or no government. It is the fruit of violent chaos, with armed warlords struggling for power.
