2% of global energy use goes on the cloud storage for all those pictures you never look at. :tea:

The 'Walsh Question' 'What Is A Woman?' I'll put an answer here when someone posts one that is clear and comprehensible, by apostates to the Faith.

Update: I've been offered one!

It is actually quite easy. A woman has at least one X chromosome.

Misleading and inaccurate.
The finding that global data centers likely consumed around 205 terawatt-hours (TWh) in 2018, or 1 percent of global electricity use, lies in stark contrast to earlier extrapolation-based estimates that showed rapidly-rising data center energy use over the past decade
Pictures we store in the cloud are a miniscule part of what those data centres store.

Excellent link, but don't let the facts stand in the way of a compelling idea. ;)

I was thinking of how much electricity is consume by the junk email that goes to my junk folder without me ever seeing it? Sometimes I have to look for the email from record store X in Finland, but otherwise they are never looked at.

Nestle is knowingly selling unhealthy food.
The world’s largest food company, Switzerland's Nestlé, has acknowledged in an internal document that more than 60% of its mainstream food and drinks products do not meet a “recognised definition of health” and that “some of our categories and products will never be ‘healthy’ no matter how much we renovate”.

What next? Will Coca Cola work out that its lollywater contains an unhealthy amount of sugar? And if that amount is reduced to a healthy level it can no longer be described as Coca Cola?

If they had any illusions about the products they themselves make, that would really be disquieting.

Well, they may be in the know but they do not disclose these things in the product description. These guys have made a name for themselves for products like baby formula, among other things.
