There can be a mix of reasons why a protest might turn into a riot, destruction of property or looting. Certainly despair and desperation caused by a system blocking change is a major factor, but on occasion, it will be some people taking the opportunity to loot or destroy because that's the sort of person they are. Protestors are a mix of people, they are not all serious and committed, and a small minority will not be well intentioned...BarnettNewman wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 1:57 pmSo you can include yourself in “obscuring the truth?”
Riots are a form of protest. When a protest becomes a riot it would be good to see why. Typically it’s indicative of a corrupt system of governance.

Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
And my gin!
Re: Media Bias
Yeah, that it is a complicated problem, but you would have a tough time answering...
When is it fair play to shoot rioters?
When is it ok to use deadly force in self-defense?
Where is our 'overton window', JimC? I'm happy acknowledging that everyone who started violence (either burning property, or assault) had given up their right to safety, and was a willing combatant.
That kind of leaves me little sympathy for everyone, but I'm ok with that.
How about you, JimC? Did the idiot kid have any right to defend himself? Or did only the convicts have that sort of right?
Oops - my mistake, I meant this in response to BP

Yes, enjoy that sip of 'tough to answer'. I know I do.
It might be because the media haven't outlined just where it is ok to use deadly force. They mostly use armed guards, but tell the peons that guns are bad.

Sure be awkward if the 'armed insurrection' turned out to be just another Reichstag fire.
I wonder how a biased media would describe such an event in todays world.

Brian, if you tried to tell me you were expecting a proper reply, I'd flat out call you a liar.

Re: Media Bias
If Brian had the courage to answer the awkward questions, I would value his wall of text higher.
As it is, I expect he would refer to fires and violence as 'protest', while referring to people trying to protect their property from fire and violence, as something more sinister.
And likely cowers from answering 'when can a person defend themselves with deadly force?'
Heck, he might just have soaked it up from a media desperate to support one biased perspective.

If you were not so notorious for refusing to reply to questions I'd stop laughing at this comment.

Re: Media Bias
Why don't you give it a try?
Oh wait, that would be as awkward as asking your for an example of your biased media lying to you about a victim of police.
Never mind. I'll leave you to your fact-checking and seriousness.

Re: Media Bias

Does systemic racism exist?
Why are black people in the US poorer, policed more, and jailed more than white people? Is it due to systemic racism, or is it because black people are more inclined to make "shit choices" than white people?
Why was property damage that happened around the '60s civil rights protests acceptable if property damage that happens around BLM protests isn't?

Looks like Jordan Peterson has decided to take a jab at our version of 'Pravda', the CBC...
https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking- ... -of-canada
Fucking classy.
So with Peterson on twitter, roasting the Canadian PM and leading party, about his content on alphabet corp's property, sounds like a fucking clown show, where none of the clowns are identifiable, except as boards, shareholder groups and wee colorful icons.
I wonder if a bias will show...

Of course, the dirty ho did it via twitter. I snipped a bit of their reputation here..."I have a million more YouTube subscribers than our national broadcaster CBC. So does that make me a broadcaster to be regulated by Trudeau's pathetic minions? Or does it just indicate that CBC is a failure, despite the fortune it takes in in public subsidy?
"CBC, your heavily subsidized but once admired and credible state broadcaster is now ideologically addled, propagandistic, outdated and increasingly despised or ignored. And now you dare to extend your incompetent governance to other media forms?"
Trigger Warning!!!1! :
