I oppose bullies.
Yeah, ain't it the truth. I recall you showed that by white-knighting for former officer Chauvin when he was being bullied by the media and prosecution attorneys for his actions.
I know, right? He loves Trump too, who is the world's foremost archetypal bully.

He sides with po-po over BLM. There's no question who the bully is in that relationship.

He sides with white-nationalists/alt-right/fascists over minorities and immigrants. Again, no question who the bully is in that relationship.

He sides with homophobic bigots over transgender people. Yet again, it's obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together which side is the bully.

Maybe Cunt has left and right mixed up. It would explain why he thinks he's a leftie... :?

I think Caitlyn Jenner is an expert on sport, trans issues, and your moral footing here.

Do you agree with her expertise, lived experience and her stance on biological men in sport?

Or would you prefer the position of bullying a trans person?

Who elected Jenner the official spokesperson for trans people, and why does she play golf from the ladies tee?

Winning the decathlon indicates expertise in at least 10 athletic disciplines. I daresay WAY beyond yours or mine.

Her use of the ladies tee is hilarious, and your pointing it out shows that you DO understand that men are significantly different than women.

Good spotting, Brian Peacock.

At least you didn't bully her for publicly describing that same 'spot'.

I think even if you, with all your tact and charm, tried to make that point, you would risk being called transphobe or something.

Undoubtedly, but irrelevant to my point. You seem to think that Jenner represents and speaks for all transgender people. She doesn't, no more than you speak for all joggers.

I've never denied it - primarily because those difference are the most pointed for trans people and the most significant for those with gender dysphoria.

OK. Now you can deal with the point I did make rather than the hilarious one I didn't, nor wouldn't.

What point? That Jenner is as authorized to speak on behalf of the trans community as you are?

I get that.

I also get that most of the vocal trans activists were not elected to their positions by any 'trans community'. It's like the trick where they try to lump all the 'LGBTQ' people together, and pretend they are a group with political alignment.

It's bigotry to expect that all the lesbians are the same political opinion. (ditto for the other groups impinged by that letter-grouping)

I must have got an early version of this one, which allowed me to parrot the central theme.

'"Stop the Steal" is becoming the GOP's permanent rallying cry'
[J]udging from what's going on with election laws around the country and the lockstep belief among the faithful, I think it's fair to assume that we can expect more of it. As you can see from the Virginia example, one problem with these draconian voting restrictions is that they will affect Republican voters the same way they will affect the Democrats. It's possible they'll affect them even more since the GOP has been pushing absentee voting for years for their older constituents, the very people who may be most confused by the changes. Perversely, that will provide even more fodder for the losers to contest the election results and further degrade their own voters' faith in the system. After all, the last election results were certified by Republican officials and Republican judges all over the country, yet Republican voters still believe it was fraudulent. It won't matter in 2022 and 2024 that it was Republicans who instituted the rules that disadvantage their own voters.

Keep in mind that the new voting restrictions are not where this ends.

Republicans are also doing their usual tricks of "purging" voters from the rolls and "caging." But there are some newer very troubling moves, starting with the new expansive rules in 20 states for "poll watchers" which basically means that fanatical Republican extremists will be free to harass and intimidate voters as they are trying to cast a vote. This technique is thought to be more effective in precincts with more minority voters but Republicans may be surprised. Everyone knows what they're up to now so Democrats are highly unlikely to be intimidated by MAGA yahoos at the ballot box.

Because we are also seeing the entire party from Ted Cruz, R-Tx., and Marjorie Taylor Green, R-Ga, to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., all buying into the notion that Trump's Jan. 6th gambit to overturn the election was legitimate, it's clear that's become conventional wisdom in the GOP as well. At this point, it appears that they have all decided to treat the insurrection itself as a somewhat overzealous but nonetheless valid response to having had the election "stolen."

Trump made a serious run at getting the election overturned. He cared nothing for legitimacy, openly and blatantly threatened, cajoled and intimidated state and local elections officials to refuse to certify the results based upon sloppily made-up evidence and conspiracy theories. For months he bellowed that mail-in votes were fraudulent and 6 weeks before the election he stated outright that he wanted Amy Coney Barrett confirmed because he expected the court to decide the election and he needed that extra vote just in case.

...

Whatever misgivings the Republican establishment may have had about Donald Trump's strategy to usurp democracy, they have rapidly come around to being his servile minions once again. With three more years of banging this drum, the Trump cult will be thoroughly convinced that it is literally impossible for them to legitimately lose elections. And GOP officials will be happy to let them believe that as long it means they can stay in power.

Her views stand on their own, regardless of who said them.

Attacking Jenner is a bit awkward for the usual bigots, because they have to deny her 'lived experience' to do it.

What she said was right when she said it. It was also right when others said it, but a lot of folks need that intersectionality to highlight their error.

I've thought the womens sports issue was clear from the beginning. There is a good reason for women having their own sports leagues, despite their being allowed in open leagues.

Notice how the issue doesn't come up in places open to women like the NHL, but only rise in women-only groups?

I lived in MO 18 years. It went quite hillbilly in the end and we lost our Democratic senator. They have Josh Hawley now. You can see it has gone Southern here. Conservative Iowa is more liberal and science minded. And St Louis residents now drive across the river to Illinois for more convenient abortions.

I think we can take'em, if we act now. :leave:
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Some pitiful sheeple are listening to what Dr Anthony Fauci has to say about the pandemic in the US. Don't they know he's the rotten, evil, no-good villain who used taxpayer dollars to develop the virus in the first place? Jeez
We must pass my bill,
The Fire Fauci Act.

No one elected Dr Fauci. He is the highest paid federal employee.

At his direction, shutdowns & masks are ruining our country, for what appears to be a man made virus that Fauci paid for with our money.

'Tucker Carlson: Anthony Fauci let the coronavirus pandemic happen, why isn't there a criminal investigation?'

Yes, follow the science, unless it leads to something that contradicts the lefty agenda.

https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/f ... ite-house/
As Rogin himself admits, “the details are a little sketchy,” and we’ll have to take a look at the sourcing included in whatever article this piece of news appears in before alleging any wrongdoing. But Rogin has banked significant credibility by questioning the mainstream COVID-origin consensus. He dealt a significant blow to the media’s near-religious faith in the natural-transmission theory by reporting on the existence of 2018 State Department cables that raised concerns about the lack of safety protocols at the Wuhan lab, which was performing gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the time.
Now, I don't know the science, but I DO know how media pushes shit up our asses.

Ask media to treat a trans person with respect and deference, and they do. Unless that trans person is running on a Republican ticket lol

You can predict their response with a high degree of accuracy. It isn't science, but media does love to propaganda with certain friendly causes.
