The summer of 2021
"Opening up" ha!
We are running out of gas cause of truckers.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/27/business ... index.html
And then there's a new federal clearinghouse that went online in January 2020 to identify truck drivers with prior drug or alcohol violations or failed drug tests, which knocked about 40,000 to 60,000 total drivers out of the national employment pool.
You had plans for summer?

Re: The summer of 2021
Our state has continuing trucker shortage. For 2 million people we rely on 60 000 truckers to ship goods, including farm trucks (to nearest train stop):
Local trucking companies are continuing to raise pay to attract more to the industry.
Officials say not to worry, there is plenty of food. It just may take a while to get your favorite version of peanut butter or jam back on the shelves. Also, there still will be gas availability, just account for higher gas prices on those vacation trips this summer.

Better start stocking up on red beans and rice. When an 'official' says there's nothing to worry about it's usually a sign that things are a lot worse than they're letting on.

Re: The summer of 2021
80 000 or so went to a concert on Saturday here. So far we've had the same 80-100 cases for a week. Let's see if it goes up these next few days. They all had dinner and so on, a few beers before the concert.
It seems the sick are not bothering to get tested. Take 3 days off and go back to work?

Did the Obama birthday bash count as a superspreader? Or is it ok because they are sophisticated?

He's not running things.
But if he's come out telling Americans to avoid gatherings and isolate, then yeah, it's a minor sin, something a few Hail Mary should resolve.

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

I like his little ditty where he says global warming is going to ruin the earth, then buys beachfront and burns a shit-ton of fuel.
Of course, he isn't running things, but Biden and his press team are hiding this summer. Must be winning so much, they don't want to jinx it.

I think you're a victim of "the algorithm". I'm inundated with Biden's press. It seems everybody wants to convince me they're killing it!
