Re: Republicans: continued
Yeah I know the state senator who is running the cannabis NE thing, slightly. M et her once. She is the daughter of a local professor who was my daughter's advisor. it's a big thing here as the state is a through way for Colorado pot. Not that you could transport it over state lines ever. Not in the Biden era anyway.

--one of the nastiest aspects of life in the US really, and one that strains the idea of a union to the breaking point. I mean, fuck you Uncle Sam. Everyone's American, just not as American as a Californian, or wth do you call a Coloradian?

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Republicans seem to be complaining of a double standard.

I'm trying to see how many times I need to tweet to her till one of her followers responds.

People who use the phrase 'assault weapon' when discussing firearms regulation, out themselves as too ignorant to join the conversation.

What conversation? You had a conversation? Where?
Re: Republicans: continued
I meant the public conversation about making laws governing human firearms use.

There can't be any conversation. Very few gun owners see any problem.
The amendment is vague, any any right can be limited by congress, provided there is a system where most people can still keep guns. For example, registering does not limit legal gun use.

I would assume that they mean the general class of semi-automatic rifles, with large capacity magazines, in the same calibre as modern infantry weapons, with a size and weight that's not too high.
Just perfect for a school or mall massacre...

You can't argue with it. She's not going to accept that she doesn't know enough to see what's wrong with what she said, and you can't force her to learn anything.
