These social media giants are a bit like monopolies. Perhaps they need breaking up for the same reasons.

To be honest Svarty, there's been a, shall we say, a difficult relationship between the French establishment and environmental campaigners for many decades.

We seem to be living in an age where prominent anti-racists are labelled racist, people demonstrating for inclusion and equality are labelled intolerant fascists, where those who are quick to call their opponents snowflakes and soy-boys are the most sensitive to criticism and disproportionately #OUTRAGED when challenged, and where peaceful environment campaign groups are likened to organised crime gangs and terrorists. You have to ask yourself who is pushing those kinds of shitposting narratives, and whose interests are they serving when they do?

Entirely agree and for me personally I have no problem keeping away from social media but one of my wife's book clubs decided to move onto Instagram? They tried Zoom but did not like it.

This Friday is National Lung Fibrosis Day when there is normally a meeting of all involved with the disease. There was always a good reception afterwards but this time they are going to do it using Zoom! Well I will not be taking part. Bugger that you have to use Chrome apparently.

You can download the Zoom client and use that.

Nice to know thanks though Zoom is not considered very safe and one expert even advised to use a dedicated computer. I dont think I still wont bother. I used to go for the reception anyway. The information was always the same; research is still being carried out but nothing new to report. Prognosis is still three to five years but not everyone is the same (nice to know :shiver: ).

Facebook Has Been Showing Military Gear Ads Next To Insurrection Posts
Earlier this week, Facebook employees warned that military product ads were being advertised against news about DC riots. The company did not act.
