Top Pence aide banned from the White House by Trump
President Donald Trump banned Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, Marc Short, from entering the White House after Pence refused to overturn the results of the election, according to a person close to Pence.

Short, who had once served as Trump's head of legislative affairs, had been advising Pence on the procedure for overseeing the counting of Electoral College votes. Trump had pressured Pence in recent days to reject the election results, which Pence said he didn't have the ability to do under the Constitution.

I can't help with any recent news of the flouncer, but he always claimed that he didn't like Trump much, though 'his policies' were great. I don't expect anything has changed on that front.

This makes no sense. How can you like the cruel policies and claim to not like the cruel person who delivers them much? Is it like one of those things where no one really likes the wants to be or likes the executioner but a lot of them go to see the executions for enjoyment?

Something like that I suppose. I surmise that in the flouncer's eyes if Trump had been less obviously a decaying pile of faeces, he would have been a truly great president.

... I have admitted several times that my critical posts do, in fact, pale in comparison to my pro-Trump posts. Why wouldn't they? I support his policies.

Trump just posted on Twitter. Disowns supporters who rioted. Talks about trying every legal avenue to make sure the election was fair. Then talks about peaceful transition and hope and reconciliation going forward. Says defeating the pandemic will require the effort of all Americans. And finishes saying it was an honour to serve the country. God bless.
