They're going to send in the Canadian peace keepers next.

Well, let's give the 1100 National Guard troops a little time. This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened.

Ossoff was called winner. While hunkered down under his desk, McConnell became minority leader.

They were claiming that changes to state election law had to be done in a certain way.Tero wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 7:51 pmSo what? where in the US constitution does it says states cannot change election practices etc.? Nowhere. The states can choose a president by flushing toilets if they want. During a pandemic, we can order Democrats to flush at 6 and Republicans to flush at 8PM and measure the water. And it would be legal.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 7:37 pmThe complaint I heard was that state elections had rule changes incorrectly. Heard it scoffed at, but its not easy to refute facts.
Courts refused to hear the case, so they didn't rule on it so far.
Anyway, this is great, because now that Dems are in charge of everything, all the bad things can be blamed on them for awhile. That's pretty much all it says. The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate.
Doesn't matter anyway, the 'good guys' are in charge of all three branches now, so everything will be good for you.

Have the tweets about election fraud started or is Mango Mussolini still busy fomenting violence in DC?

Well, "they"are wrong. Alito and some other supreme court member made such claims as well. They have no authority over states. I would have impeached the entire supreme court for Bush vs Gore already. Well, Justices Kennedy, O'Connor, Rehnquist, Scalia, and Thomas. others did not back it.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 9:20 pmThey were claiming that changes to state election law had to be done in a certain way.Tero wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 7:51 pmSo what? where in the US constitution does it says states cannot change election practices etc.? I agree that you think so. Since I try to hear both sides of an issue, I am not as clear on this as you seem to be.

From a 'rightie' source, so feel free to ignore it, or attack the author (AND me).The moment the state legislature in October 2019 passed the change to its election laws with mail-in voting as the base, they violated the state constitution of Pennsylvania. Now, why is that?
Under the constitution of Pennsylvania, if there are to be any election law changes, you have to amend the constitution. Did they amend the constitution? No. What’s required to amend the constitution of Pennsylvania? It’s very complicated.
I'm satisfied though, that lots of folks, like you, believe it was legit. I also accept that lots of folks think it was not legit.
Texas wanted to insist on fair elecion practices, claiming injury by unlawful elections in other states. The supremes didn't rule on it, so haven't considered the evidence (formally)
But yeah, the good guys won. Lets see what they do with it. Maybe things will get better for everyone. Maybe lockdowns will continue, and those three or four big corporations will continue their accumulation of wealth.
There is quite a sharp difference between the small business owners, and work-from-home government workers when it comes to this issue. I can guess which side you will fall on.
Myself, I'm not as convinced that the Biden camp is the better choice, but as I said, we are about to find out.

I did not say you could not challenge state govt's. As long as the challenge is in the state. They were, they dealt with it. The reason they dealt with it, it would be a bad precedent for a state not to certify its votes. They would not be able to credibly seat their congress people either. They can go ahead and change laws and constitutions all they like for the next election.
Once a state certified, it goes to congress. That's it. Federal courts are not involved in state electors, even if it is demonstrated they are illegal or there is fraud. ONLY the current process in congress can throw out those electors.

Like I said, your good guys won.
We'll see how it goes. Trump has been opposed for the whole time, and he accomplished plenty. The Harris team should be able to do WAY more, with having all three branches.

Re: US Election 2020
Just for cunt:
That served to elect Lincoln twice.
" In such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct", not so hard. Nothing about state constitutions, elections laws, elction years, pandemics, small pox, civil war. No law need to be passed. Legislatures and governors can give broad powers to state appointed election officials. Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately chuse [sic] by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner chuse [sic] the President. But in chusing [sic] the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; A quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall chuse [sic] from them by Ballot the Vice President.
(Note: This procedure was changed by the 12th Amendment in 1804.)
That served to elect Lincoln twice.

Fixin to get ugly. Can't fly to Swazi so I need that goddamn boat in the water pronto. Might be able to do it in two weeks if I work pretty much fullass time on it. Need to get my guns offshore before martial law.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I'm seeing the libertarian flag in a lot of the clips from DC - which is wierd. And the Confederate flag of course.

Another example:
http://foxnews.com/politics/pennsylvani ... d-election
a state election is involved. A state law was broken. Who is to deal with this legislature, who may have gerrymandered elections etc.? The state supreme court. No federal law was broken.
