I miss when comedians were disliked by their targets. Now, instead of laughter, we get 'clapter'. Redhead-ass isn't all that funny, but he is funnier than most, and takes the unpopular position, opposing the tide.
Of course, the best comedy will check for approval from corporations before publishing, but that's how the business is now.

So what? Governments can always do better, but it's not like Covfefe-19 isn't a massive public health crisis - is it?

WTF are you on about? Accept the fact masks dont work in fact increase numbers. Germany has had mandatory masks for months as have many countries but the figures keep rocketing. Of course for you only when figures all falling is it due to masks. Very double standard.rainbow wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 9:23 amSaxony is to Germany, as Alabama is to the US.Scot Dutchy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:22 amAll those masks?Germany suffered a record number of Covid-19 deaths on Wednesday, its first day of partial lockdown, with a total of 952 people dying in the previous 24 hours, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) disease control centre, a figure that could rise as the hard-hit Saxony region was not included in Tuesday’s numbers.

This scenario was forecasted back in March by other experts in the RIVM who have been ignored since. They also were opposed to the closing of public places as numbers could be better monitored and social distancing maintained.
The present chaos is the direct result of strict lockdowns and mask wearing. People are retreating into their homes and giving the authorities the finger. Does anyone in their right mind think that families are going to follow regulations? Xmas will be the same for the vast majority as it always was especially after the impositions of the last nine months.
Intelligent lockdown is required not some random measures imposed by a mask wearing lunatic. If this all fails what next? Monitors in every house 1984 style.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Allcaps don't make your assertion credible. Masks actually reduce the spread of covid when worn properly and in the right circumstances. This is how it works: The coronavirus spreads by being carried in the miniscule droplets of liquid people emit through their mouths and noses when they sneeze, cough, shout, speak or simply just breathe. Masks trap many or most of those droplets. That is how masks save lives.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
That does not happen in reality and you know it. These are non medical masks and seldom fit properly. It is a nice diagram. That is the story what is the reality?Hermit wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:22 pmAllcaps don't make your assertion credible. People wearing them get over confident and forget about social distancing which masks do not replace.
Masks are often old and worn. Disposable masks are used multiple times and give little protection and along with over confidence are a source of infection.
Many people keep on touching their mask then touch other surfaces. How many people actually put on and take off their mask correctly and wash their hands?
That's how masks kill.
The sudden rise in numbers correlates with mandatory mask wearing and other lockdown measures.
